Why this Jewish woman loves Christianity

The messenger of hate, Trump, has plowed the hoards of hate into our "give me your tired your poor your huddled masses yearning to breathe free" nation.  He is a man so cruel, so mean, so mendacious and so disordered but has been given the reins of extreme power by know nothings who literally know nothing and are fooled by his con.  Because he is the extreme narcissist and because he has built a sadistic room in his Republican Party for the kings of cruelty whose main mission in life is to exclude and/or kill the other especially if their skin is brown or their ethnicity Jewish; because his main objective in his dogmatic rule is to eschew democracy and embrace authoritarians; because he wants to build a wall to keep a suffering humanity out and not welcome them in to save their lives from certain death; because he leaves democratic allies in the dust for them to go it alone and face certain obliteration at the hands of much stronger despots; because he writes in concentration camp form numbers on the arms of brown children captured seeking asylum at the US border and keeps them jailed in the dessert separated from their parents with no end of this cruelty in sight; because the ugliness that spews out of his mouth that can speak nothing else; because his eyes do not read and his brain does not question; and because his heart does not empathically feel, I am, like few other times at a loss for words strong enough to condemn this beast of madness nor can I explain how those who claim to love this nation turn their back on the precepts for which it stands and for which so many have bled. 

I thought of writing today, Christmas Eve, what I said as a fifth grader when the teacher asked us to tell her what Christmas meant to us.  Being a Jewish girl I knew or rather my parents told me that we did not celebrate Christmas but even in my ten year old mind that soaked up the culture around I knew Christmas was not really about the collection of material goods nor was it about ostentatious superficiality. I knew Christmas was about Christ and that Christianity was about his message.  How did a Jewish girl who was not supposed to celebrate Christmas understand the true meaning of the day?  The answer to that is I don't know but I did, I loved it and, in its pure form, I still do. 

The truth is, as I see it, Christianity without its man-made political extremes hell bent on waging war against Muslims, against Jews, against Buddhists or against anyone who does not believe as they do is about turning the other cheek when someone offends you; it is about forgiving those who hurt you; it is about the thief or the prostitute being promised redemption; it is about curing the sick, feeding the hungry and clothing the naked; it is about loving the least of those who cannot fend for themselves and it is about finding a way, a truth and a light directing mankind from a path of destruction to a path of construction; it is about the acceptance of the stranger.  It is about treating your neighbor as you would want to be treated yourself.  In truth and ironically, Christianity is really about everything that Trump is not.  The Prince of Peace if he were alive today would expect you to reject hate and embrace love.  That is the Christianity I love. I believe Christ's Christianity would would expect nothing less.

On a 3:00 a.m. whim our idiot president makes Vladimir Putin, Iran, Turkey, Hezbollah, Assad and ISIS think they died and went to heaven. Without telling anyone the idiot Trump says he defeated ISIS therefore withdraws entirely 2000 American troops leaving the Kurds (our allies) and others vulnerable to slaughter. He makes Putin jump for joy.

Trump keeps 6000 troops on our southern boarder falsely protecting us from those who are escaping certain death from gangs in Central America! The stable genius works again. This is insanity and I am no war monger. I am usually against American military action but I support it IF it saves innocent lives. At the end of WWII we kept and still do keep a military vigilance both in Europe and Japan. We do it because it is necessary.  Bad actors can create bad theater anytime they are ready to write a play. ISIS is not dead.  What happened to American leadership post WWII? It died and we are left with a vulnerability that can perpetrate a 9/11. God forbid it happens again!

TRUMP/PUTIN; TRUMP PUTIN.  Why don't they just marry and unite their fortunes.  Trump must be removed from office post haste before there is no nation here to defend!

Our so called law and order president is being investigated for the following:  Russian government US presidential election collusion, Wikileaks, Middle Eastern influence, Paul Manifort's activity in Russia, Trump Tower Moscow Project, Campaign Transition contacts with Russia, Obstruction of justice, Campaign conspiracy and Trump organization finances, Inauguration funding -- search for unaccounted 40 million dollars ; Trump Superpac funding, foreign lobbying, Russian operative Maria Butina and her NRA connections, Turkish Influence, tax fraud, Trump Foundation the shut down of his personal charity in the wake of a succession of scandals and a looming lawsuit which exposed a “shocking pattern of illegality,” Elena Alekseevna Khusyaynova chief accountant of Project Lakhta, a sprawling Kremlin campaign to influence politics in the U.S. and European Union -- ongoing, Emoluments lawsuit.

If Donald J. Trump is not our hypocrite-in-chief then I do not know what else he is.  Shame on those who gave him a life in the oval office and shame on Republicans who have not a shred of conscience or decency to remove this hypocrite post haste!

Yes, I could not stop my tears; This story above took my heart and squeezed every inch of life it had within it.  This nation, my nation that was supposed to stand

for goodness, justice and the American way put to death a seven year old innocent when all she needed was probably some Gatorade the kind they give to football players

when they are thirsty but could not find any of for a 7 year old Hispanic girl who walked with her father across 2000 miles of dessert since life in their own country meant certain death.  This small little Guatemalan girl who died needed one thing:  some water with electrolytes something easy to get at a corner store.

What, in God's name have we become?  Border guards with glee dump out water the humane among us have left for the parched crossing the dessert to save their life.  The guards were happy and laughing like the Nazi's who cut old Jews' beards off for a joke.  How is this possible in a land that lost so many fighting fascist tyranny?  The Trump milieu in which we live is Nazi like.  I do not think this analysis too extreme.  Democrats won but Republicans are doing all they can to create legislation that ruins the poor, ruins their healthcare and ruins everything President Obama did that could help those of us who somehow, through an accident of birth, lost this American life's lottery that relegates them homelessness, soup kitchens and by the edict of one single Texas hard hearted judge leaves them with no healthcare to boot.  It other words many will share the fate of that 7 year old little girl who died on a bus from dehydration because no one cared enough to give her water. I do not recognize this nation anymore and the Democratic House we just elected cannot come fast enough, I fear, to save us.

Donald Trump and his cronies including his family need to pay a  heavy price.  As he celebrates the holidays in splendor more 7 year old children will die.  Trump needs to be impeached, convicted then prosecuted when out of office.  He and his henchmen have committed crimes against humanity and should pay the price for the most unethically egregious  conduct and the highest of crimes an American administration has ever committed.  Start with the murder of that seven year old sweet girl who thought she was walking to freedom's light but died instead at freedom's door.  

I cried this morning for that seven year old girl, I cried for the immigrant children locked up separated from their parents some forever and I cried for the country I thought I knew but cannot recognize any more.  I  am still crying and cannot stop.

How I see it: The markets a small stream of thought

We have to take care of ourselves if one is in the market.   Trump is tanking the market with his gd trade wars that are ruinous. All that so many Dems and Repbulican middle class too have saved will be in the swamp. This recession coming, as I can feel it, will be worse much worse than 2007 because no one in power in Republicanland has our back. We are on our own. All that we worked so hard to gain back from the last recession is, in my mind, at grave risk.

I am scared about what is happening to our economy. Trump with his lousy tax cuts took care of the top 2% wealthiest as they won't have to worry, not that they had to worry anyway, but now they really do not.  The tax cuts someone might want to clue the Republican middle class are for the top 2% richest and are PERMANENT for those who need it the least -- but for the middle classes it is a mere pittance that will evaporate in a recession because Trump and his Congressional Republican lackeys did not make ours permanent!!  Worse you will not be able to deduct your property taxes. 

All should spread that reality and maybe just maybe next time Republicans will be crushed in the Senate as they now have been in the House.  If we elect a Democratic president they will rue the day that they had the stupidity to elect, as Mitt Romney said, a con man.  I only pray he and his entire thug family and friends are monetarily eviscerated and end up in jail!  That is my wish, my hope and my prayer.

Treason, the Rosenbergs and Trump

I was thinking about the Rosenbergs, Julius and Ethel, executed here in 1950 for handing over to the Soviets some, probably banal secrets the Soviets already knew, to build a nuclear bomb.  The US, at that time, was the only nation which possessed a nuclear bomb and, as witnessed by the horrific destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, was willing to use it.  Julius Rosenberg's rationale for working with the Soviet Union then, some have said, was to prevent a nuclear holocaust that more than one nation having the bomb would obviate. Whether they did that for which they were executed or not is the subject of continuous controversy but it is clear, at least to me, that Julius did commit treason. Whether Ethel did or not is still subject to debate.  This opinion, however, is not about a debate as to the guilt or innocence of the Rosenbergs but it is to compare their acts for which they were executed to the acts of a president of the United States, Trump, and his many minions suspected of conspiracy with one of our most adversarial nations, Russia, to hack into Democratic computers and emails to defeat Hillary Clinton and elect Trump in the 2016 presidential election.  The Russians were successful beyond their wildest imaginations and Trump I believe contributed to their success.

MSNBC's Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow and Larry O'Donnell's creative analysis of a largely redacted sentencing memo by Robert Mueller on former Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn they had just received about Flynn's actions allegedly colluding with Russia including the breach of the FCPA (the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) by not admitting to his paid connection to the foreign nation of Turkey and its president Erdogan was brilliant.  Because Flynn has cooperated with Special Counsel Mueller (including 19 hours of testimony) so quickly, fully and truthfully the sentencing recommendation of Mueller was near zero imprisonment time in hopes that others, perhaps many, of the Trump administration would agree to do the same.

The scope and the depth of Mueller's investigation into Trump's alleged conspiracy with one of this nation's most adversarial powers, Russia, and its President Putin is mammoth.  Many in Trump's orbit, including Trump himself, could be pulled into the center of gravity of the investigation which is already two years old but is far from over.  In my opinion, it makes what the Rosenbergs were accused of and executed for look like child's play.  The Russians struck at the heart of our democracy itself and, at least for the 2016 election, killed it. 

Trump allegedly has done one of the most evil, treacherous, mendacious and, indeed treasonous actions by betraying this nation he says he loves for 40 pieces of Trump Tower gold and used Flynn's motive to defeat Islam as his phony rationale. The Russians truly must be laughing themselves silly.  This is the biggest compromat the Russians have successfully ever gotten -- a useful idiot US President Trump allegedly acting on their behalf in order for the Manchurian candidate Trump to make billions. If the Rosenbergs were executed for treason for their crimes then the allegedly treasonous Trump should be impeached, successfully tried by a Republican majority senate and convicted for his.  The American electorate should be screaming for nothing less!!

All the president's men -- Watch this space

MSNBC's Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow and Larry O'Donnell were amazing last evening. This is the greatest political show on earth I have ever seen and will be studied for decades in colleges, universities, the Ivy Leagues and in high schools too as it is much much more serious and complex than Watergate.  It is similar to Watergate in many ways but on steroids.  

 

I was addicted last night and couldn't stop watching -- Three things sum it up that Larry O'Donnell illuminated: FAME, MONEY AND SEX.  That is the essence of Trump's character or lack of it.  That is what he wanted from the presidency he did not think he would win.  Why on God's earth would anyone with as much nefarious baggage as he had want to win the most fishbowl office in the world?  It was a business deal he wanted with Russia for decades and went there numbers of times to cultivate.  Now his family and many others Trump touched including counsel are in the soup.  Ironically, Trump loves gold and it is his symbol but everything and everyone he touches turns to dust.  

 

This will be to be continued tomorrow, tomorrow and for many tomorrows to come.   Much more will come out and Mueller the Magnificent has it all without leaking a word.  This is the most amazing story ever told!  The so called president of these United States is a horrible man of zero character and even less honesty. He is everything evil that our nation has produced -- inside and out ugly beyond words!

The possible bribe (50 million dollar penthouse suite in Trump Moscow Tower) offered to Putin himself to help this deal go through. American companies that offer bribes [any valuable item, favor or such] to foreign officials to grease the wheels of a deal, is considered a breach of the The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Trump is claiming the Russian "deal didn't go through". Well, under the FCPA, it's the mere act of offering or even knowing about a bribe to a foreign official, even if that bribe is turned down, that can be enough for an indictment. His ignorance of this law is amusing. Maybe, he figures that as POTUS, he is immune to indictment. I suggest he talk to a competent attorney about the 7 year statute of limitations. Cohen says Trump knew about the deal to offer Putin valuable favors, including a multi-million condo in the building, in return for approving. That offer, even if turned down, can be considered a violation of FCPA.

A BLOG SOMEONE SENT TO ME. Okay so it's a pipe dream but one can still dream it. It's correct in so many ways. Money big money is the nature of the beast and its total corruption in this nation. Trump is simply a symptom of capitalism gone haywire. In my opinion though revolution is out of the question especially a violent one. The beast, will never be tamed in the way the blogger would want it to be ... ever but I thought it fun to read anyway. At least someone is thinking.

Mueller's Microscope

A microscopic analysis of the corruption of Trump and his cronies who helped in all his nefarious ways is, in understatement, overwhelming not because one cannot do it but because there is so much of it. Where does one start? One wonders if even Muller can see the light at this endless tunnel of Trump's lies and fraudulence.

I suspect Trump is hoping that sheer exhaustion of his so called "enemies" will work in his favor. I hope not as his and his administration's corruption is in full view for all the nation and even the world to see.

How can we right this sinking ship of state, bring the mountain of guilty to justice and restore the rule of law? I hope Mueller and his team of electron microscopes have an inkling of how to do that because I, individually, surely do not.

If the Holocaust taught one thing it is the sin of silence while the innocent are being tortured.  A blogger said: "It's being done because at this moment the will of the American people is not defined on this issue [immigration].  Like many other issues the public is silent. What  is being done in this nation to the least of these who seek refuge from certain death is this nation's great sin.  It is an example of humanity at its very worst -- one step away from the Nazis who laid siege to 1930's Europe.  The Nationalist, which Trump claims title for himself and the extreme right an extension of it, simply do not care.  In fact, I aver, most Nationalists and right wing extremists would kill all the asylum seekers if they could. If Nuremberg taught us one thing it taught us to say no in the face of human cruelty, injustice and the diminishing of a single human life.

The plastic has washed up over many oceans all over the world. It's an abomination but the plastic found in the dead whale's stomach is certainly evidence of plastic killing sea life as if we couldn't guess that it does. It is a tragedy and affects all of us but the stupids are in plastic pollution indifference and they are climate change deniers to boot with a president chief of the deniers who says it's so cold out so where is global warming. Another so called "conservative" senator said the same thing when he brought a snowball into the Congress as proof of the so called climate warming "hoax."

Nancy Pelosi--There is no one better qualified for Speaker of the House

When Seth Moulton first ran I was in awe of his background and although he was not in my district gave him a contribution. Had I possessed a crystal ball to see him among those who would subvert Nancy Pelosi for Speaker I would have thought again before contributing to his campaign. I even thought him at that time presidential material. I withdraw my support of him for president.

Representative Moulton, shame on you for disappointing me by trying to work against a woman who has given us perhaps a 40 vote Democratic lead in the House. If she does not deserve the Speaker position she once held then I do NOT know who does.

I call on you to restore my original opinion of you and end this challenge to perhaps one of the greatest Speakers of the House to ever hold that position and deserves to serve as Speaker now!

Science rules -- 631 MISSING in CA Fire

I imagine that most of the missing are dead.  This is heart breaking and what happens when people deny science and the science of climate change. The Cretans Trump in power beholden to big oil put some phony idea into those who are not that bright that climate change is a hoax. It clearly is not.
It matters not what people think but deny science at your peril because it will do what it wants to do through its laws of physics. Climate change is real. My Prayer

I cannot watch election coverage yet.  It makes me too nervous because in reality no one really knows until the day the majority of the vote is cast.  I am not going to let myself get excited if the media says a certain Democrat is ahead nor am I going to want to kill myself if I hear a horrible Republican is ahead of a Democrat whom I think is so good.

Beto O'Rourke, charismatic candidate for the US Senate from Texas, is excellent by anyone's standard and Ted Cruz, the Republican whom he is running against, is policy rancid and ugly on the inside to boot.  If Texas passes O'Rourke up they are simply, in my opinion, nuts.

Back to the Patriots football game.  If the Pats begin to lose big I'm onto Columbo my program of sanity preservation.

Say a brocha, cross yourself or pray to Allah.  We need to cover every base and hope that if there is a God he will want to save this nation, the last great hope for democracy, from the worst most disgusting, sickening, crude, rude, and corrupt swamp Trump that ever landed on the American political scene!   

How did Trump happen?  There will be analysis of that for centuries.  For now we can only do what we can do.  Pray, hope and then vote Democratic to save the nation's life, your life and your children's lives.

The Caravan of Central American human beings

This is NOT 1933

On my FB page many are frightened and they should be because there is much to fear but that translates into action.   They are scared that this is how Hitler gained power.  I say NO this is not 1933.  Millions of people here are watching. We have mobilized millions in protest. Further, in 1933 they did not have MSNBC, CNN or anything visual that could arouse people to act against Fascism. We do. We are not broadcasting the garbage Fox is thank God.  We have news media that are good and truthful, we have Netflix that carries tons of documentaries on the rise of Nazis and the rise of the Alt Right for that matter in this nation; there are former rightwing extremists who have seen the ugliness and turn against it and it's carried on our media. We have many many more outlets that can get the truth out. Plus the Internet and Facebook not always a force for good BUT there is good just look on my site.

We are out there, we are vocal and with a little luck this curse of Trump will meet its electoral end. It does not mean we should not be frightened but that frightened should turn our millions into action and is doing that right now I hope. The Longest Hatred -- My Experience with AntiSemitism

The killings at the Tree of Life synagogue struck the heart of me as it did other Jews and non-Jews alike.  Again, I must analyze the why of it digging deep into my knowledge of historical antisemitism as well as my personal experience with it as a Jew. 

One of the best and most precise analyses of the history of antisemitism is a video history entitled "The Longest Hatred" shown on PBS a number of years ago.  Hatred of the Jew simply for being born Jewish and simply for carrying the Jewish genetic heritage in one's blood has been a longstanding indictment levied by many antisemites against all Jews even against Jewish children and a rationale for some to eliminate their perceived threat by murdering them.  Adolph Hitler, the anti-Semite supreme, even went so far as to believe eliminating Jewish children was, perhaps, his most important goal so that Jewish children would not grow up to be Jewish adults and infect the white supremacy of Aryan Christian culture.  It was to this end that he was most ardently committed.

"The Longest Hatred" I think can be divided into sections that led to the ultimate slaughter of the six million of the Holocaust in the modern era and even to the slaughter of 11 innocent people whose only crime was to worship at the Tree of Life in synagogue in Pittsburgh on Shabbat (the Jewish sabbath.)  Its etiologic rationale was stated or perhaps inferred within the New Testament itself which in pertinent part blamed Jews for the killing of Christ, the Christian God.  This was, perhaps, the most incendiary indictment of all since one had to understand what the killing of God meant.  It meant to those who believed it then and incredulously, today, who believe it still is the overturning of all that was and is to them good, moral and right.  What could be worse than the killer of God? It mattered not that the Jews did not kill Christ, if in fact, Christ existed, but we know the Romans and not the Jews used death by crucifixion especially for those whom they deemed guilty of sedition as their supreme modus operandi of execution.  Through the centuries, of course, this accusation ebbed and other rationals for the killing of Jews became prominent.

The children of the Jewish diaspora or the fleeing of Jews because of persecution to the European continent from the Middle East carried this poignant indictment with them and it morphed into others.  The Jews of Spain were commanded to convert to Christianity and if one, after conversion, practiced Judaism secretly one could be Inquisitionally tortured and ultimately killed.  Those who refused to convert were walled off into Jewish ghettos where they were allowed to be Jews but also to practice much needed money lending for Christians.  Money lending has morphed into the sin of an alleged Jewish globally controlled cabal seeing to take over the world.  Christians of the Medieval period were not allowed to lend money so the Jew became a necessary economic implement to improve a nation's economic worth.  This indictment has been the most enduring, insidious and down right moronic rationale used today by modern day antisemites.  The nefarious nexus between the Jew and money was born and has not died.  The antisemitic word of the day is "globalism," an attempt by antisemites to indict George Soros, Bloomberg  and other wealthy Jews for a conspiratorial control of the world.  The fact that the Mercers, the Koch Brothers and many other non Jews control the Republican Party through their money and huge unlimited contributions are not, of course, considered.  The lengthy history of antisemitism through the ages can be summed up for brevity.  It is you cannot live among us as Jews, you cannot live among us, and, finally, you cannot live.

My own personal experience with antisemitism includes these historically lengthy prejudices.  In third grade at eight years old a Catholic girl walked up to me and said "The Jews killed Christ."  I did not know what she meant and the teacher who also was Catholic did not disabuse her of that notion; later, a neighbor also Catholic told me the same thing.  "The Jews Killed Christ."  A Jewish friend of mine said defiantly "No, the Romans did"  as I breathed a sigh of relief.  Years later when working a friend of mine at lunch told me about the great bargain she had gotten at a store by "Jewing the guy down."  In my incredulity and to avoid controversy I said nothing.  I would not say nothing today.  And so it proceeds over centuries the often told same old societal affliction.  We can choose to say nothing or by our actions which include voting for those who profess a kindness and empathy of which the Republican Party has little. 

To all of you I ask you to VOTE Democratic and to RESIST the Trumpian fascism of our time!

Trump's reply to the threat of violence against solely Democrats was weak

Trump's reply to the violence today was WEAK and mentioned none of those Democrats solely who were threatened including Maxine Waters whom Trump insults as "low IQ." If anyone has low IQ it is he. Nor did he mention the news media he has impugned by calling them "enemies of the people."  I believe Trump has created this toxic environment.  It is he who should apologize to all of us for his malevolent speech.

I am on the side of persons of color and other minority groups who have had their progress over centuries ripped out from under their feet by white persons like Trump who have weakened the 1965 Civil Rights law which specifically addressed those states that have perpetrated unspeakable crimes against human beings because of the color of their skin originally brought to this nation in chains and against their will. Who of us if we had been treated like they by persons holding the reins of power would not be angry and would hold back their fury? 

White men, racist white men have NOTHING about which to be angry. They have held ALL the power since the beginning of the nation and to think those they have subjugated would not someday rise up to grab what is rightfully theirs is pure and simply stupid.

Why am I not surprised with Trump's hostile rhetoric egging his supporters on to lock her up and constantly bad mouthing falsities against Barack Obama that the Clintons and Obama are threatened. Now Soros, an elderly man, is being threatened and is seen by the right as worthy of attack.

Right wing extremists I have always thought are much more violent than the left is in this country. Right wing extremists like American Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan and others who have been given the cover of inclusion by Trump are angry, they are armed and they are dangerous!

Midterm Mania

I think Democrats, and I am a STRONG one, should not be so smug to think that the enemy Republicons will be losing the House. I will give it my thoughts and prayers though that they will lose it and close my agnostic eyes to pray when Nov. 6 comes along.

Trump is SO SO SO bad, so dishonest, and so ill equipped for the presidency that he SHOULD be losing the House by double digits but also the Senate too. His economy means nothing as time passes the electorate should see the tax cuts were permanent and huge ONLY for the top 2% and the rest got next to zero and NOT permanent. It NEVER trickles down to us but promotes egregious behavior by CEO's and those in power that encourages recession and even Depression. He will want to reverse the deficit by blowing a hole in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.  These programs we put our own blood, sweat, tears and our own money into can be wiped away if Republicans keep power.  Do NOT let them.

I know his presidency has caused my own depression and the depression of millions of Democrats, thoughtful Republicans and Independents as well. Trump is the MOST unethical, dishonest, mean, self centered, cruel, and evil president this nation has ever seen. VOTE DEMOCRAT ON NOVEMBER 6TH AND SAVE THE NATION AS HE NEGATES NUCLEAR TREATIES WITH EVEN HIS BUDDY PUTIN...GO FIGURE. To entrust him with the nuclear codes is nothing short of suicide!

Diehl a Bad Deal

I do not know how any thinking person, a person of intelligence even if one does not dive into the weeds of detail of the corruption of this administration, cannot see not from the complex evidence that exists but from the evidence that is right in front of one's nose.  How utterly corrupt the Trump administration is. Add to that the ark of corruption of his cabinet and it is right in front of you for even those with little or no academic experience, to see.  One need only look to find out what is being done with your, OUR tax dollar wasted to enrich Trump himself.

Trump complained about Obama golfing. The difference between the numbers of times Trump has gone golfing at Bedminster, his New Jersey golf course, and Obama's occasional golfing time off one could fit a train through.  Trump's golfing alone is costing the taxpayer millions for a presidential detail when Trump goes to one of his own golf courses let alone anywhere else including Mar-a-Lago. The money he makes off the things he privately owns being a public servant is almost incalculable. The waste and the fraud of his cohorts like Secretary of the Interior Zinke, EPA Secretary Scott Pruitt and Human and Health Services Secretary Price to name a few "[his] gang of imitation moguls seems to have forgotten that they were supposed to be working for the “forgotten Americans. It’s hard to make that claim when you use a private jet 24 times, as Price did, according to Politico. This cost a total of $300,000, and we paid for it." Multiply that by so many more like Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Carson's ordering of a $30,000 table for his office.  Add all kinds of luxury travel at taxpayer expense to the mountain of corruption in Trump's administration.  It beggars the mind that Trump as president has many many private enterprises he controls and from which he makes millions when heads of state come here to do business with the White House. Trump's many businesses of which he did not divest are there for all to see.

The Constitution itself prevents a president from doing just that as the Founders knew from their European experience that a leader could use the position as a head of state solely for his own enrichment. The Constitutional Emoluments Clause is there to prevent just that but Trump ignores it. All one has to do is open one's eyes to see that an "R" after someone's name, tied to Trump is not only tied to a foreign power, Russia or Saudi Arabia is also tied to Trump for the enrichment of himself.  The immoralities and illegalities of the Trump administration are legion; there are so many it is hard to keep keep track of  them.

Diehl supports Trump and anyone who does carries that baggage along with him.  Diehl will not buck Trump. Warren is infinitely not only academically but ethically superior to any Republican tied to Trump. Warren should have the support of the electorate of Massachusetts no matter if she's running for the Mass. Congressional Senate or even if she is looking someday to higher office. She would be wonderfully brilliant in anything she attempts. 

Surely not all Democrats are clean but Elizabeth Warren, in fact, is. As long as Republicans are tied to Trump they will acquiesce to the corruption, cruelty, meanness spirited policy and Everest size lies of this president. Further and most sadly of all they do not care!  I say there should be no deal on Diehl!

I am sickened by the gruesomeness of this murder. Killing was evidently not enough for the murderers of Washington Post journalist Mr. Khashoggi they had to torture the poor man as well. Our incapable of empathy president Trump gave King Salman the light bulb brilliant idea of chalking it up to "rogue elements." What have we become? Who are we to elect a leader whose empathy gene does not exist? He along with his good friend King Salman now are international pariahs.

My Comment:  This letter of Einstein to his daughter Lieserl below is gorgeous. All should read it and take it to heart. Yesterday in my solitude before I went to bed I, the agnostic, asked God for a sign; something I could take to heart and change my life to find what I am looking for; a powerful force bigger than myself to explain the purpose of it all and to erase hate wherever it exists even in myself. This morning a writer friend of mine sent a letter from Albert Einstein to his daughter to be opened after his death. It was the first thing I saw this morning. My only reaction was a short "wow!" It should, be sent far and wide to everyone you know to find a remedy for our world in flames cannibalizing itself instead of Oppenheimer's oft quoted phrase upon the power of the nuclear bomb he helped build -- "Now," he said, quoting from the Bagavad Gita "I have become death destroyer of worlds." Einstein, I think, would say: Now I have become love the healer of worlds and the perpetuator of life!
