officials were quietly reviewing plans for evacuating roughly 50
tactical nuclear weapons that the United States had long stored, under
American control, at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, about 250 miles from
the Syrian border, according to two American officials.
Those weapons, one senior official said, were now essentially
Erdogan’s hostages. To fly them out of Incirlik would be to mark the de
facto end of the Turkish-American alliance. To keep them there, though,
is to perpetuate a nuclear vulnerability that should have been
eliminated years ago.
“I think this is a first — a country with U.S. nuclear weapons
stationed in it literally firing artillery at US forces,” Jeffrey Lewis
of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies wrote last week."
My Comment: Drumpf is going to get us all
killed or held hostage to 50 gd American nuclear weapons held in Turkey. Drumpf
the blowhard talks smack about how he is going to rain down stiff
sanctions on Turkey for their blasting away our former ally and helper
in defeating ISIS. I will believe those sanctions when I see them. In the meantime a nation with American nukes is shooting at US forces. What could possibly go wrong? All this to appease Drumpf's buddy Putin and to appease his other authoritarian friend Erdogan so Turkey can finally annihilate their perpetual perceived enemy US ally the Kurds and gain a foothold in Syria. War crimes are being committed as I write this and Trump is the useful idiot helping Tyrants! If Drumpf were not the so called president he would be in jail!
