Human
progress and the democracies necessary for it is NOT preordained as the

not because the Nazis were so strong but because Weimar was too weak
and allowed Nazis a place in the political arena.

culture must work on maintaining a free state and never let hard times
bring the corruption of war mongering extremist Nazi-like fascists to
power nor bring the corruption on the extreme violent left either.
These political forces will do or say anything to bamboozle
an electorate into thinking strongmen can bring the prosperity and calm
we all crave.
They
cannot. They bring cruel, brutal, inhumane killer regimes that could
now in our nuclear age end life on earth as we know it. If the
Trumpists prove anything they prove that.
