In
one phrase: Manchin, you are an unprincipled boar never to be trusted
again. Look at how many people he has burned by his intransigence on
the Build Back Better bill. Millions of working class people in his own
state of W. VA could surely use the BBB legislation. W. VA has Manchin at, incredulously, a 62% popularity poll. Why?
To Republicans' joy
Manchin loved the attention and to Republicans' credit he kept Democrats
on the edge of their seats hoping he had a principled bone in his body
and would, in the end, give Biden and the American people the victory they
need on this important legislation.
That was not to be the case.
Someone
needs to look at Manchin's stock purchases. I Would not be surprised
if he has bought into big coal. It is from corporations like that
that Manchin takes his marching orders. Certainly there is nothing
principled about that!
