A Preliminary Post -- The "Sixty Minutes" Interview: The "Sixty Minutes" segment interviewing the president about the killing of bin Laden was, in my opinion, without a doubt the most masterful segment of that program I have ever seen. If you have not seen it check the Sixty Minutes web page to view it. To say he was brilliant, human, cool and so professional is an understatement. It made me see him in a different light. He gave us a candid window into his mind.
I have sometimes criticized him for not standing up to his opponents more fiercely. My criticism comes from an inability to see who the president truly is. He is intellectually stellar. There is no way anyone on the Republican side can approach the apex of the intellectual alacrity of Barack Obama.
I thank the president for doing something for which I waited 10 long years. If only his opposition would allow him to govern as he desires without putting obstacles in front of every single step he takes. He could bring us back to the country I have always known and loved.
Govern on, Mr. President. You have my undying loyal support.
