Is this a joke? No. This is why Charles Pierce wrote a book entitled: "Idiot America: How
Stupidity Became a Virtue in the Land of the Free," which can be purchased on Amazon, and why Marx said
religion is the opiate of the people. I am most definitely NOT a
Marxist and believe in regulated capitalism but on this one issue Marx
was right. Extreme religious fundamentalist fanaticism and orthodoxy keep our nation
from scientific and cultural advancement incapable of replacing
irrational superstitious hocus pocus with indisputable fact.
As one of my FB friends pointed out
Stephan Hawking said "greed and ignorance will make humans extinct."
Scientific
truth cares not whether one believes in it. Science will do what it
will do despite man's rejection of it to the detriment of us all. The joke in the end is on us!
