One by one those giants of the civil rights movement are ending their
journey. It is up to us, the living, to pick up the baton and fight for
what is moral and just and never give up.
No
matter how difficult it seems we must never give in to the forces of
darkness and hate no matter how powerful the opposition is. "The moral
arc of the universe is long and it bends towards justice."
It is said "Obama so loved the 1853 quote
by Theodore Parker, Unitarian minister and abolitionist, that he had it
woven into a rug in the Oval Office." Let's return that rug to the oval
office which is being usurped by a would be dictator who is in truth
weak, corrupt and evil personified.
We
must never forget John Lewis, Elijah Cummings, Martin Luther King and
so many others of all races and nationalities who paint a portrait of
this nation that is kind, fair, tolerant and good.
