Interview of Mandy Patinkin -- Listen, Learn and Love

How anyone on planet earth could not find this interview riveting and loaded with insight, profundity and empathy I will never know. For those of you who have "Homeland" on cable and are watching it you will LOVE this interview but even if you do not watch the show the interview is so universally applicable and so sensitive to human feeling and the profundities of life that you should love it too.

Listen, learn and love!

The Left's Folly

I look at both sides of the equation which often leads me to immobility. I have serious questions of the left too. Why does Chomsky's left overlook the brutality of those whom the US opposes? Is US policy the best of a very bad lot?

Life is nasty, brutish and short just as Hobbs said it was. It remains so to this day. The will to live and survival of the fittest are two unalterable laws of nature. Under which power would YOU want to live and where has humane ethics ever played a part in the history of man with the exception of the defeat of the Nazi beast?

History is, in the final analysis, written by the winners.

Food for Thought

No, I am not a Chomsky adorer at least not like I was an adorer of Howard Zinn but if you can really hear what he is saying, the knowledge of sense is made.

These Utubes are, at least, passive and easy listening. They are food for thought, a commodity in rare supply these days.
