Billie Holiday's poignant heart wrenching song "Strange Fruit" about, of course, the many many lynchings of innocent black people hanging from the poplar trees in the south hung there by southern whites. The not guilty verdict of Zimmerman for the murder of Trayvon brought me to it. I urge you to listen to this short first broadcast of this sad but beautiful and meaningful song. Then think just why persons of color and those of us who support this cause are so passionate.
