Dear Brothers and
Sisters: I want to express my sincere condolences to all those who
suffer and are in mourning because of murders in the two mosques in New
Zealand by a right wing white supremacist racist.
I,
a Jew, am struck by the senselessness of the demented perpetrator and
the deep sadness he inflicted on Muslims and, indeed, on all the world.
It is clear both of our peoples should be allies to fight
discrimination and hate wherever it exists because we both have suffered
from it. Count me as one of your allies with the hope that the better
angels of our nation and the world will come together for our mutual
security and love for the humanity of us all.
