There are so many Golden Globe awards for a plethora of categories few can remember all the winners. So I give kudos to two. Thank God, DiCaprio won the best actor in a comedy ("Wolf of Wall Street" was a comedy?) as he has been passed over so many times. He was extraordinary in the "Wolf of Wall Street" even though I have seen only short snaps of it. I will see it within 24 hours!
Second bow is to "12 Years a Slave" which I did see and recommend the Duck Dynasty intellectual midgets see it too. It will give Papa Duck a new slant on what he thinks is the contentment of former slaves whose progeny he met working in the fields. Of course, he knows from that experience that slavery could not have been that bad because they were, as he observed, so happy and spoke not a word about their hard life or the slavery that brought that life to them. Well, it was that bad and more. Everyone in this nation should see this film that shows that it was and KNOW about that which your nation is. Yes, it has an impact, and a big one, on all of us.
In my opinion this film is the best yet on the history, tenor and utter insufferable brutality of the slave in this nation. See it and know!
