May I finally say AMEN!!!!!!? I hope the story true. If so you are looking at the first woman president in US history AND her running mate I predict will be Corey Booker!!!!! He is whom I wanted months ago but no one floated his name so I thought of those they were suspecting Julian Castro was my choice. I did not want the uninspiring Tim Kaine who had some okay in VA pay to play politics surrounding him. The Prince of Light
The survivor of the darkest night -- the
Holocaust and Auschwitz -- Elie Wiesel is dead. He was our worldly
conscience and the prince of light illuminating the Nazi darkness for

LET IT BE DONE QUICKLY
Re: Clinton's emails: Naturally the Republicans are trying to pillory Hillary over the plane encounter of Bill Clinton with Attorney General Lynch. So what else is new? They've been pillorying her for 35 years. Having said that I suggest Bill take a vacation and NOT subvert his wife's life. He has done so many things without thought of his own wife and family. He's smart, yes, of course, he is, but sometimes he is stupid and this is one of those times.
Attorney Lynch with Bill on a plane creates profoundly rotten optics I will admit BUT in reality it is as it always has been. Attorney General Lynch has said all along that she would take the recommendation of the career prosecutors and not intervene like Eric Holder did with General Petraeus. Loretta Lynch is the epitome of ethics. I would NEVER think she would twist the process. For her and everyone else it would be prudent to let the process play out. I am, as Bernie Sanders was, SICK TO DEATH of her gd emails.
In my opinion, as I have listened to expert counsel on the issue, what she did with her personal server did not, I repeat NOT arise to the level of "INTENT" to hurt the nation. I-N-T-E-N-T is the operative word. I am angry that it is even an issue and that seasoned, experienced, professional lawyers and politicians would not know to scrupulously monitor what they do or even appear to do. Then again the Bush administration committed all kinds of acts that should have been determined illegal such as torture and taking a nation to an entire war based on lies creating a volcanic eruption in the Middle East. We pay for those damnable choices every day to this very day. Even I was for the Iraq War because 9/11 was overwhelming and I thought -- yes I did think -- that George W. Bush/Cheney knew something we did not. HOW ADMITTEDLY STUPID I was. Politicians ruin their own career legacies with their own hands and have no one to blame but themselves BUT we the people pay for it.
I continue to believe Hillary Clinton used a personal server for the same reasons General and Secretary Powell did -- to protect and control information they had from getting into hands they did not trust . We KNOW the State Department's email policy was no policy at all. Please, FBI for my own sanity and those who KNOW Hillary Rodham Clinton would make a GREAT president -- as said in Scene I of Macbeth -- IF THE DEED BE DONE LET IT BE DONE QUICKLY!

Plagiarized Lessons and Deceptive Tactics: A Look Inside the Trump Institute
What more does one need to know (NYT link below) before this beast Trump is SOUNDLY defeated? Mitt Romney was right Trump is, in fact, a big con. He takes his lessons from the Bernie Madoff school of ripoffs and Ponzi schemes. True, Trump was not selling stock (that I know of) but he was allegedly selling phony deals like Trump University and the Trump Institute.

The Question of my Life -- Istanbul incredulity
The question of my entire living career: How can human beings inflict such hurt both physical and emotional on other innocent human beings?
I ask that question not only of the beasts that struck terror In Istanbul but I ask that of ALL nations who think nothing about dropping bombs on innocents.
I shake my head in disbelief! Does the person doing the killing and/or bomb dropping, cutting off heads and other forms of unspeakable torture ever once put themselves in the other guy's shoes and ask how would THEY would feel?
It is just plain sad and so much of life is. My disbelief of what happened in Istanbul and ALL the Istanbuls is profound and indescribable. What my aunt once said to me is true: It is, indeed, man's inhumanity to man. I weep.
If YOU WANT ISTANBUL TIMES 10 THEN VOTE FOR HILLARY'S DERANGED DISLOYAL OPPOSITION. THE COMPLEXITY ASKS .... NO DEMANDS ... DEEP KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY. Trumps Trumpet -- an inferior sound
I worked for many years as a legal executive assistant in Boston. It was a tough job. It required knowledge of some court procedure and computer expertise. In Trumpian fashion -- I was simply the best, incredible even -- NO strike that; I had my good days and bad. As a metaphoric absurdity to my point, though, if one day human resources came to me and asked me to go to court to fill in for an attorney who could not make it for a motion in an important case, aside from the fact that it would be highly illegal, I would think she had flipped her noodle, was cracked and maybe insane. I might have often been good at the occupation I chose but I was NOT an attorney.
When George W. Bush became president I was working at that firm, talking to a friend as the nation held its breath awaiting the court decision that would act as the deciding referee to this volatile and contentious Democrat v. Republican pugilism. I was sick at heart as the the match was decided for Bush. The imprecise tally of the hanging chads Justice O'Connor thought was just fine and in the 11th inning the Bush foul was declared fair.
In my view the Republicons stole the election and Justice Sandra Day O'Connor's morphed the court into the arena of a wholly owned political corporate subsidiary where it is stuck in present time. The consequences of that decision would be dire. An intellectually inferior, cerebrally challenged and emotionally incapable dry drunk Bush assumed the presidency of the most powerful nation on earth. I tried rationalization. Maybe, I thought, he will not be that bad. He was that bad and worse. His rancid tenure and horrific historical legacy will be told by the experts but his legacy includes a war based on lies, thousands dead, refugees by the millions, a Middle East dismembered and Europe's fabric altered by the influx of refugees by the thousands to the west. BREXIT is about immigration and Britain's antipathy toward it but Britain fought that deadly Iraq War based on lies too and now they pay the price. That "Mission Accomplished" War Bush in his penile fight suit proclaimed on the carrier Lincoln is now in its 12th year, the longest war in US history. Bush did not know a Sunni from a Shia, had no plan for after the war and wasted trillions in treasure without mentioning the massive amounts of human blood wasted on a war he had no idea how to wage. Worse, on his watch the Great Recession of 2007 landed like a meteor smashing into the earth ruining the middle class and the poor the most.
Al Gore should have been president and, indeed, he retained the popular vote. Imagine how different life could be possibly without a 9/11 and with a climate change correction. When upset in extremis my medical weak spot pays a visit. I began having an optic migraine caused from deep stress. Worse my vision becomes impaired. It is, for me, 20 minutes of hell. The Bush presidency was 8 years of hell the effects of which we experience still.
One would think a nation would learn not to repeat its nasty past. Here we are, though, with the presumed nominee of a major US Party, Donald J. Know Nothing Trump, who thinks he is so fantastic, so utterly wonderful, so "good brain" great that he can assume the world's most difficult job requiring deep knowledge of both domestic and foreign policy. This bully, bigot, and stupid candidate for the presidency could, in fact, if the American electorate is so either clueless or masochistic yet again usher in the earth's most unqualified humanoid for the office of president of the United States.
Trump is a business man as was Bush. The US with its 350 million people is NOT a commodity to be traded away so that Trump can pad his millions as he has been doing all of his life probably paying little to no taxes that the rest of us cough up.
Trump's trumpet in Scotland played its inferior sound which was solely about Trump who did not know BREXIT from Exlax until BREXIT was about to ensue. Trump cared not about the British people or the effects of BREXIT on the world. He cared about his Scotland golf course making him money if the British pound sank.
The presidency could make Donald J. Trump number one on his trumpet's hit parade much richer than he ever dreamed he could be while the rest of us, like the Wall Street of 2007 sink into the 2016 electoral abyss.

Al Gore should have been president and, indeed, he retained the popular vote. Imagine how different life could be possibly without a 9/11 and with a climate change correction. When upset in extremis my medical weak spot pays a visit. I began having an optic migraine caused from deep stress. Worse my vision becomes impaired. It is, for me, 20 minutes of hell. The Bush presidency was 8 years of hell the effects of which we experience still.
One would think a nation would learn not to repeat its nasty past. Here we are, though, with the presumed nominee of a major US Party, Donald J. Know Nothing Trump, who thinks he is so fantastic, so utterly wonderful, so "good brain" great that he can assume the world's most difficult job requiring deep knowledge of both domestic and foreign policy. This bully, bigot, and stupid candidate for the presidency could, in fact, if the American electorate is so either clueless or masochistic yet again usher in the earth's most unqualified humanoid for the office of president of the United States.
Trump is a business man as was Bush. The US with its 350 million people is NOT a commodity to be traded away so that Trump can pad his millions as he has been doing all of his life probably paying little to no taxes that the rest of us cough up.
Trump's trumpet in Scotland played its inferior sound which was solely about Trump who did not know BREXIT from Exlax until BREXIT was about to ensue. Trump cared not about the British people or the effects of BREXIT on the world. He cared about his Scotland golf course making him money if the British pound sank.
The presidency could make Donald J. Trump number one on his trumpet's hit parade much richer than he ever dreamed he could be while the rest of us, like the Wall Street of 2007 sink into the 2016 electoral abyss.

The Forward, a liberal Jewish newspaper of American historical renown, wrote a story entitled "The Forward Won't Publish Anything About Donald Trump for 24 Hours" (link below). Quoting from it:

In case you are interested: What BREXIT means for the economy--it's important
I would venture to say if one asks the man on the street or even Donald Trump they would have NO clue what in hell BREXIT is let alone how it would affect the global economy -- meaning the US too -- because guess what? We are part of the planet. It is rather important to know what BREXIT is because of its implications for the US economy. I have placed a link below entitled "What BREXIT means for the economy" which I found on Nate Silver's blog. Who is Nate Silver you ask? He is the New York Times genius statistician who created 538 (538 is the total of US electoral votes involved in winning the US presidency) and also wrote a book entitled "The Signal and the Noise." In essence his predictability of all things electoral and other competitive outcomes is near perfect. I did say NEAR perfect. It should be a no brainer that Britain should not leave the EU BUT they have their rightwingnut nationalists too as we have Trump a/k/a Small Hands Drumpf. Yes, sad but true because the real losers in this will be the little guy like most of us.
The division on BREXIT in Britain has taken a violent turn as a right wingnut nationalist Cretan killed a British Labour (yes, that's how they spell it) member of Parliament, Jo Cox. She was a humanitarian and beloved political figure who was against BREXIT. She was killed by a white racist white nationalist who yelled "Britain first" and also who surprisingly (or not) took instruction from the American National Alliance, an American neo Nazi hate group. My opinion, of course, is that Britain should NOT take a page from our explosive political book but should leave well enough alone and remain in the European Union. But what do I know? Forgiveness
I am Jewish. I recently perhaps in anger lay most of the noxious behavior against gays at the feet of its etiology and that is The Hebrew Bible Levitical law. It began with that five thousand years ago fueling divine rationale to take the lives of those innocents who were either born gay, as I believe most were, or have chosen to love whom they wish to love. The Levitical "laws" (Leviticus 20) have been responsible for more sadness, more psychological damage and more suicides perhaps than any other Biblical passage. As a Jew I know that there are at least 4 sects within Judaism and maybe more. In Reform Judaism the status of being gay is not an issue. This, however, begs what, I believe, has been the beginning of the millennial assault, scourge and damage that passage and other Biblical passages about sexuality have done to human beings especially if one feels an attraction to one's own sex.
Jews and some sects of Judaism may have progressed beyond the cruelty of these passages BUT monotheistic faiths after Judaism surely picked up the baton of the Levitcal code and made it their own. It spread like a cancer throughout the body of mankind. As a matter of fact, some Christians eschew other Levitical laws equally as punishable but take the one against homosexuality at face value to their heart and bring its condemnation to contemporary time. It appears NOT in the thoughts of Jesus himself but as part of his follower Paul's writing. Christian response in many corners of the nation is inhuman, sickening and poisonous. I need only memorialize the brutal, disgusting killing of Mathew Shepard in Wyoming or the "God hates fags" Westboro Baptist Church who sweetly picket military funerals calling it God's retribution on earth because he does not like America respecting gay rights -- never mind the soldier who died was heterosexual and had three children. This is American mind numbing know nothing stupidity at its best. Other Christian churches and right wingnut extremists have been staggeringly rancid in their wish for death upon gays. Rachel Maddow showed two pastors whose diatribe about what happened in Orlando at The Pulse nightclub is truly unbelievable. Their sentiment was in essence that it was a good that 49 "homosexual perverts and sodomites" lost their lives. The only quarrel one had was that more were not taken down. This is chilling, indeed, that someone who claims to worship the prince of peace wishes death upon those who want to be left alone to love.
Proceeding, we surely know now as Orlando is seared into our consciousness that Islam considers anti-homosexual tenets as a rationale to commit mayhem upon those whom they find out are homosexual. It is a part of the faith. I do not know if there is any sect within Islam that makes room for the psychological truth and modern day realistic understanding of homosexuality even though we KNOW it appears in every corner of the globe and even among other animal species as well.
When Ahmadinejad of Iran spoke at Colombia University he was asked about the Iranian hostile treatment of gays. He said that there were no gays in Iran. The audience quite rightfully erupted in laughter. Oh sure, no gays in Iran like there is no tea in China.
It is because of the Judaic Levitical code that I have entirely rejected my faith since it meant something so difficult and so impossible for me to understand when love for one's partner culminating in a 31 year relationship should have been lauded and celebrated. When one cannot even find safety within the protective cocoon of one's home something is terribly awry.
I harbor NO forgiveness in my heart and believe the rancid, toxic, cruel and inhuman Levitical law to have permanent besmirched my religious faith making forgiveness of it by my mortal being impossible. If there is a god, I will leave forgiveness to him.
