So, after weeks of preaching his sinister sermon of black pathology to mostly white audiences as part of his utterly fake “black outreach” — which is in fact the effort of a bigot to disguise his bigotry — Donald Trump finally brought his message before a few mostly black audiences.
He spoke Friday to a handful of African-Americans in North Philadelphia, and as described on philly.com, told them that “he is not a bigot, and blamed the media for portraying him that way, according to people who attended a private event.”
No sir, stop right there. We are not going to allow any deflection or redefining of words here. You are a bigot. That is not a media narrative or a fairy tale. That is an absolute truth. No one manufactured your bigotry; you manifested it.
You have proudly brandished your abrasiveness, and now you want to whine and moan about your own abrasions. Not this day. Not the next day. Not ever. You will never shake the essence of yourself. Your soul is dark, your character corrupt. You are a reprobate and a charlatan who has ridden a wave of intolerance to its crest.
You were a chief birther against President Obama. You have maligned Mexicans and slandered Muslims. You have treated women with disdain. You have mocked the handicapped. You have displayed a staggering lack of basic knowledge about governance. You have applauded dictators. You have encouraged the assault of protesters at your rallies.
You are a prime example of the worst of humanity. You are what happens when incuriosity meets intolerance.
You are not to be praised for your fourth quarter outreach, but reviled for it, because it contains contempt, not contrition Trump wants to demonstrate to white moderates that he’s not a dyed-in-the-wool racist and to demonstrate to his base that he’s unafraid to walk through the valley of the shadow.
Then on Saturday, Trump traveled to Detroit and visited with a church congregation, or at least with a fraction of that congregation, judging from an image of the nearly empty venue.
Before Trump read his remarks, he said, “I just wrote this the other day knowing that I would be here, and I mean it from the heart he said, “I just wrote this the other day knowing that I would be here, and I mean it from the heart.”
That’s the first thing that sounded like a lie. The New York Times reported last week that Trump’s advisers had gotten the questions Trump was supposed to answer during an interview in Detroit and prepared a script for him. What makes us think that they didn’t also write his pandering speech?
He told the gathering, “Our nation is too divided,” while not acknowledging that he is a principle source of that division. He said: “We talk past each other, not to each other. Those who seek office do not do enough to step into the community and learn what is going on.” And yet he never acknowledged that until now, when his poll numbers have dipped and worrisome numbers of people said they believed he appeals to racism and bigotry, he has avoided coming into the black community like one might avoid the plague.
The speech was feather-light on policy, but what was there was just repackaged Republican claptrap that reinforced negative perceptions about liberalism and blackness.
Trump said, “I believe we need a civil rights agenda of our time, one that ensures the rights to a great education and the right to live in safety and in peace and to have a really, really great job, a good-paying job, and one that you love to go to every morning.”
Translation: I want to further weaken public education through more charters and vouchers. I want to flood your neighborhoods with more police because you can’t control yourselves. I want you to stop freeloading, get off welfare, and get a job.
Everything about this spectacle was offensive: that a black pastor had invited this money changer into the temple to defile it; that Trump was once again using the objects of his aggression for a last-ditch photo-op; that news media continue to call this an “outreach to black voters,” when it’s clearly not.
Trump has no real chance in Detroit, and he knows it. During this year’s Michigan primary, Trump got just 1,679 of the total 132,602 votes cast in the city of Detroit.
But again, the citizens of Detroit — or black people in general — are not the intended audience for this pageant of perversity. You can’t earnestly court the black vote while at the same time your party is enacting laws in multiple states to suppress the black vote. The whole thing is a logical fallacy.
Trump closed his speech in Detroit by quoting a passage from First John, Chapter 4 in the Bible: “No one has ever seen God but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”
I too would like to close by quoting a passage from 1 John 4: “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
Everything about Trump reads to me as false, and I hope that on Election Day, America exercises the gift of discernment.

Trumpettes (Children of Trump)
For the life of me I cannot understand the thought processes of the children of demagogues -- children of truly sick, narcissistic, and cruel parents who support their parent's party line. Did not ANYONE in their supposed illustrious higher ed schools teach them to think? Or perhaps they simply do not care and are Ayn Randian enough to parrot their parent's beliefs. What legacy do these Cretans want to leave to their posterity? Perhaps they care only for their own enrichment -- all for me and nothing for anyone else -- and some, perhaps, on a genetic level are missing the empathy gene as their parents clearly seem to be.
Maybe some of us have too much of that empathy gene and simply get depressed at the trajectory of a nation gone half monstrously mad with hate and wondering if ever there will be a sustained effort to implement the greatest good for the greatest number or are my and other progressives' efforts after decades of trying failing.
When I first saw two of the Trumpettes proudly with killing rifle in tote displaying the kill of a GORGEOUS tiger I knew what the substance of those men were and wondered how could they be loved by their mates or really by anyone. In short, I am STUMPED.
GET OUT TO VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS UPON IT BECAUSE IT DOES!!

Pray for Me
I am a news junkie. Even as much as politics interests me I am up to my earlobes in campaign swill. It began more than a year ago and saturated cable airwaves for ad infinitum months. It still is not over. The campaign is MUCH MUCH too long and MUCH too much oodles of cash is wasted on it. Every time I see Trump and every time I hear about email I want to throw a shoe at the tube. Trump is IMPOSSIBLE to listen to with his bluster, rudeness and lies. He lies ALL the time. I turn most of it off now and I might -- might -- pick just one of the debates to hear.
When Trump is blustering I mute my TV which covers him too much because I suppose some people want to listen to his volcanic eruptions with the malevolence they contain and that brings in network cash. Well, it does not bring cash to me but rather brings on a headache! Hillary is NOT on enough to add to the saturation. I wish she had come out more to refute the accusations levied at her which amount to NOTHING compared to the damage Republicans have done both to the economy and to the ruination of the Middle East. Moreover, they have obstructed Obama, an African American Democrat, at every turn. He could have accomplished much more if not for the disloyal Republican opposition and it is the eighth wonder of the world that he accomplished as much he did. If not obstructed she will accomplish more.
Hillary Clinton is CLEARLY by far and away more qualified than Trump. She will IF she can get more Congressional support create multi-faceted much needed change in our nation. I view Trump as dangerous to life and incapable of performing the most complex job on the planet. It is a job necessary to possess an encyclopedic knowledge of events and the ability to respond to them which Hillary has the capability to do. He has none of either. I surely hope Secretary Clinton wins BUT I am sick to death of the constant air wave blather promulgated over and over again by talking heads who often know nothing about which they speak. HELP I'm drowning in political quicksand! Pray for Hillary, VOTE her in November and by the way pray for me that I survive the onslaught to come.

A Man Who Cannot Drive
Truthfully, as Bernie Sanders said of Hillary Clinton's emails, "ENOUGH I'm sick of your damn emails." End of story but it isn't because the disloyal opposition wants to keep it alive as they think they can win by doing so. Revelation: They cannot and will not win. The electorate, I believe, at this point, since 2015 is sick to death of Hillary Clinton's email clearly political so called "scandal" to help the Republican cause whatever cause that cause may be.
It does, I think, present the question: Why oh why were Bush, Cheney and the gang given a free pass on so much mendacity? Their lies and decisions based on those lies to take a nation to war -- the Iraq War -- have cost hundreds of thousands of lives, millions of refugees and trillions in cash while it imbalanced and ruined a Middle East for generations. The devastating war in Syria bloomed out of the winds of the Iraq War as did Al Qaeda in Iraq and its vicious sidecar ISIS . Now, THAT war was a topic worthy of investigation by Congress but never got one. It could and should have resulted in a presidential impeachment. I suppose Republicons write up Articles of Impeachment only for Democratic presidential sexual faux pas.
The lies and preconceived notions of the Republican Bush administration that took a nation to war based on those lies for which we the people must still pay in precious blood and treasure is seared into history's memory if not the memory of the electorate forever. It truly boggles the mind that Cheney and Bush suffered no retribution and nothing was heard from Republican hypocrites except now against a Democrat when they know the presidency and even both houses of Congress could be at risk because of a mendacious, incompetent, rude and malevolent hypocrite Republican Presidential nominee Trump who cares nothing for this nation except what money he can squeeze out of it. It is as 2012 Republican Presidential nominee Romney stated and should be a title of a book about the insane 2016 campaign for US president -- "The Greatest Con Ever Sold."
Hillary's emails in question are nothing and did no harm in comparison to the greatest Republican committed foreign policy blunder in the history of this nation and one which carried with it the most profound generational consequences both here and around the world. We truly are fools if we get fooled again and give the car keys to another man who cannot drive.

Trump's new campaign manager's Steve Bannon's vicious Anti-Semitic Jew hating comments
Steve Bannon, the new Trump Campaign Manager, is VICIOUSLY anti Semitic as well as anti-Muslim and anti-Hispanic.
There is major news coming out which I am not able to find the headlines yet. It has to do with the Trump campaign manager and former Breitbart editor Steve Bannon and his VICIOUSLY antiSemitic Jew hating remarks he made in court papers in a spousal abuse and ultimately divorce case against his wife. He is a VICIOUS anti-Semite. Headlines to follow!
Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who YOU are.
Why am I NOT surprised?
Don't fail to tell all of our Jewish friends who somehow think the Republican Party is for them and Israel to give it another look. Donald Trump is NOT a friend!

Why I am depressed -- I urge you to listen to this YouTube and Make a Decision
I urge you to listen to this Youtube by Noam Chomsky. You do not have to agree with all of his politics throughout his life but what he says now with respect to our political system is spot on correct! Listen and make a decision as to what needs to be done most especially electorally crushing not only Trump but the entire Republican Party before we can begin to address the destroyers of our species and planet -- climate change and nuclear war.
A Little Levity -- very little -- I actually made up a joke!
What would Jesus say to Trump after hearing his cruel, mean, vindictive, angry, hostile, mendacious, crude, murderous, and rude verbosity?
Perhaps he would say to him "Go and sin no more."
To which Trump would say "No, I cannot pivot and won't change."
To which Jesus would say "To hell with you, I'm a With Her!"
Perhaps he would say to him "Go and sin no more."
To which Trump would say "No, I cannot pivot and won't change."
To which Jesus would say "To hell with you, I'm a With Her!"
OUCH!
Republicans lie and they lie ALL the time. Problem is their not too bright base believes the untruths. Sad and so worrisome. The anti-intellectualism of right wing extremists burns my brain.
It's simple. One can analyze it through Darwin's survival of the fittest truth. If one does not accept the truths of science that culture will die. Eventually, for example, if global climate change is not addressed by getting OFF fossil fuels we will NOT survive.
Those nations that accept the truths of science SIGNIFICANTLY reducing and even eventually eliminating fossil fuels WILL survive. So it's simple really either you accept science or die rejecting it believing a sky god will make things right. It won't. WE MUST! HILLARY CLINTON DOES NOT REJECT SCIENCE BUT TRUMP DOES!

ON RELIGION -- THE BEATITUDES
I love to surf the Internet and
do so on religious issues at times about which I write for others to
contemplate too. I was talking to a friend about Christianity and told
her when I was in college I had a flirtation with Christianity because I
was politically very left of center more than even now. I loved the
peace and the love message of Christianity and thought then maybe
Christ's message had reason and that he had purpose. We talked about the "Beatitudes" of which there are 8. They are enumerated below. I have questions at the end of them:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
How on this earth can the religious fundamentalist extremist right wing square their beliefs with that. Santorum, Huckabee, Carson surely Trump who is NO Christian or any other right wing fanatic of which white supremacists haters are among them who claim to be Christian when all the Beatitudes that allegedly came from Christ's own mouth at the Sermon on the Mount sound more like liberal sentiment than they do the "conservative" right. It is why Christianity appealed to me then so many years ago.
Christ allegedly overthrew the money changers in the Temple but the Republican Party is the Party of big money and big religion is about big money. This Jew is asking how does the essence of Christianity square with modern day hateful Republican political Christian thought? I think these things are the seeming hypocrisies, another thing Christ loathed -- hypocrites. The Republican Party is FILLED with them.
GET OUT THE VOTE FOR HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON WHOSE PARTY IS THE PARTY OF INCLUSION NOT EXCLUSION. GOTV ON NOVEMBER 8, 2016 FOR HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON TO SAVE ALL OF OUR LIVES.

I did not write this article but I could have. I've been saying the same things since Trump came off the esclator to infect our lives
Once again, Trump snatches defeat from the jaws of victory in the news cycle -- Daily Kos
We so often hear that Donald Trump’s real talent is in showmanship, sales skills, marketing and public relations. The talking heads crow with pride that he’s a political outsider, they remind the faithful over and over that Trump can really take care of business, that he's a black-belt when it comes to PR and back-room negotiating, and we’re then reassured that that’s why we should all suspend common sense and vote for him. It seems to work on lots of voters, around 35% to 40% by last count.
But to watch the Republican nominee for President bumble his way straight toward the worst ass kicking since McGovern and Goldwater combined is a study in what to never do when cameras and microphones are pointed in your direction. At this point any objective observer has to wonder, could he screw it up worse if he tried?
And the answer isn’t eleventy-billion dimensional chess or anything like that. Trump is just a common trust fund kid who got in over his head by a quirk of fate, and he doesn’t have a chance in hell of coming out of it with a shred of dignity left intact.
The list of Trump’s strategic and tactical failures is rapidly becoming to tl;dr. Two highlights are the Judge Curiel and Gold-star family Kahn debacles, each of which resulted in two separate, empirically measurable poll crashes from which Trump may never recover.
These aren’t exceptions any more, they have become rules. Time and time again, Trump has swaggered into the limelight in the midst of a news cycle that was already working in his favor, only to halt any positive momentum and redirect the nation’s spotlight to his serial failures as a candidate. This weekend, the backdrop was the flood stricken waste of what was once a nice part of Louisiana:
The enduring image of an uncomfortable Trump literally handing Play-Doh to Pence while flooding victims stared at him in confusion is already playing poorly across nearly all portions of the political media spectrum, apart from extremist site Breitbart, which is now officially running Donald Trump’s campaign as of this week. Trump may end up wishing he had heeded the Louisiana Governor’s warning and simply made a donation instead.
For several days the alt right has been building a myth that President Obama had stubbornly, selfishly remained on summer vay-cay, not so much as lifting one of his brown fingers, and thus condemning the desperate, whiter victims of Baton Rouge and other flooded communities in the Pelican State to a watery grave. It was nonsense, it is part and parcel to the usual managed ignorance dipped in vitriol so favored in those dark corners, and it had a better chance of hanging a Katrina level streak of cruel incompetence around Obama’s neck than anything else they’ve tried in the last eight years.
But instead of that carefully cultured story dominating right-wing cable news and bleeding over into the rest of the media universe, there are now pics depicting about as clear a sleazy exploitation of tragedy ever seen going viral all over social media. Each and everyone starring Donald J Trump in the leading role.
This is not a fluke, it’s happened too many times. This is not bad advice, it’s happening over and over again despite several senior staff shake ups. This is Trump, this is who he really is when the insulation that vast inherited wealth can provide is ripped off and the man underneath is revealed: Trump is no master showman, he is no PR wiz, and he’s not even particularly bright. Trump is just another lucky one-percenter who was born wealthy and managed to not lose that endowment. Hardly evidence for investing brilliance in the middle of the longest period of prosperity for the super-wealthy since the Pax Romana.
Trump bought some NYC real estate with daddy’s money, and that’s an investment much like the &P 500; you simply could not lose over the last three or four decades on that deal. In fact, there has been some convincing debate that just parking money in a blue-chip index fund like the S&P 500 would have performed significantly better than Trump has done with all his supposed investment mystique.
Trump is a complete fraud, from head to tail. He’s a garden-variety trust fund kid with trophy wives who bought his way into leagues he can’t compete in. Like so many trust funders he fell prey to the seductive idea that he did it all by his lonesome. The only difference between most rich kids who make that mistake and Trump is he’s in over his head in the public sphere in such a big way that no one can protect him, so it’s all unraveling in a rather spectacular public fashion at his expense. And I don’t know which is funnier, watching Trump flail around like a drunken monkey so far out of his league that the light from the league would take a million years to reach him, or reading various pundits who should know better, and probably do, explain that, somehow, Trump is so dang successful and cunning that he’ll come out of this better off -- and maybe he even planned it all along.
Hint: this flameout campaign wasn’t planned, folks, everyone should drop that nonsensical idea. This is what actually happens when an overgrown juvenile bozo like Trump buys his way into the big leagues without paying his dues or demonstrating any talent. This what happens when a clown that’s been sheltered all of their life from the consequences of lousy or humdrum choices and instead told they are a genius at everything they touch, actually goes out onto a level playing field with actual world-class competitors.
This is like one of the Walmart kids buying their way onto an Olympic Team: there is no miracle finish. They don’t win Cinderella gold, they don’t win consolation silver, they don’t knock out Apollo Creed and bring home split-decision bronze. They barely get a chance to catch their breath on the field before being humiliated and bruised and bloodied. Trump will be crushed by this defeat, he will never live it down, he will never be the same. Trump will forever be the biggest political loser of our time. And when it is over, he might at best limp along grifting the extreme right like a neutered Sarah Palin for a few years, before sinking into a final reclusive eccentricity and well deserved senility.

Young Voters Flee Trump -- I can't believe it
In response to Jeff Jacoby's Sunday Boston Globe, August 21, 2016 editorial
"Young voters flee Trump" (linked below) what can I not believe? I cannot believe this
most liberal progressive as I am thinks the nearly always conservative
Jeff Jacoby's snap shot of young voters' response to the Trump-stained
Republican Party is 100% correct. This must be the first time in which I
agree with every sentence of the article Mr. Jacoby wrote. He is spot
on accurate. Trump has been a death wielding cancer on the Republican
Party that showed profound impotence to fund a credible NeverTrump
pharmacological movement to try to eradicate its fatal disease. Now it
has become a genetic mutation whose DNA will be carried from generation
to generation. If a Party loses the youth vote it loses its future.
I
have never supported a Republican for president but I never loathed
Dole, McCain or Romney as much as I do Trump. Trump is an obnoxious
right wing extremist fringe category unto himself. Although I
personally cannot say I was overcome with the vapors for Ronald the
Adored Reagan, a president whom Jeff Jacoby loves, I will admit to the
likeability of the man. He was in one word nice. Nice is not a word
used in the Trumpian dictionary to describe Trump. Rather the words
ugly, miscreant, malevolent, and mendacious to describe Trump come to
mind. The GOP is not and has never been in modernity the Party of Lincoln. That is fabulistic. It does have its nascent roots, however, in the 1968 white racist Independent Party of George Wallace that won the deep south. The Republican Party of red took over from Wallace and happily fostered its fringe. The fact that Mr. Jacoby thinks that Republican Party is gone forever makes this progressive very happy. I can only hope that Jeff Jacoby is correct!

"Conservative" Never Ending Blather The Good Clinton Fooundation Has Done
If Sec. Clinton took baby sitting money the gd conservative so called "judicial watch" would have something negative to say. HRC cannot breathe without some "conservative" JERK trying to get her. She is dealing and has dealt with the appearance of the Clinton Foundation but that is not enough. Trump THE NEVER ENDING HYPOCRITE with PLENTY of things of his that should and maybe are being investigate should shut his ever widening orange mouth.
What good CF has done: Opinion by Huffington Post: AMY CHOZICK and STEVE EDER
Begun in 1997, the foundation has raised roughly $2 billion and is overseen by a board that includes Mr. Clinton and the couple’s daughter, Chelsea. Mrs. Clinton joined when she left the State Department and stepped down in 2015 before beginning her campaign. Its work covers 180 countries, helping fund more than 3,500 projects.
Having a former president at the helm proved particularly productive, with foreign leaders and business people opening their doors — and their wallets — to the preternaturally sociable Mr. Clinton.
Among the charity’s accomplishments: Its Clinton Health Access Initiative — which is run by Ira C. Magaziner, who was a White House aide involved in Mrs. Clinton’s failed effort to overhaul the health care system in her husband’s first term — renegotiated the cost of H.I.V. drugs to make them accessible to 11.5 million people. The foundation helped bring healthier meals to more than 31,000 schools in the United States, and it has helped 105,000 farmers in East Africa increase their yields, according to the foundation’s tally.
In December 2008, shortly before Mrs. Clinton became secretary of state, Mr. Clinton released a list of more than 200,000 donors to defuse speculation about conflicts.
Soon after, Mrs. Clinton agreed to keep foundation matters separate from official business, including a pledge to “not participate personally and substantially in any particular matter that has a direct and predictable effect upon” the foundation without a waiver. The Obama White House had particularly disliked the gatherings of world leaders, academics and business people, called the Clinton Global Initiative, that the foundation was holding overseas. The foundation limited the conferences to domestic locations while Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state. On Thursday, Mr. Clinton said the gathering in September in New York would be the foundation’s last.

Neal Gabler wrote a brilliant article. I can only salivate at his talent for the written expression of captivating verbiage. I agree with all he said.
I might add, though, if Trump is doing as Gabler says in his well-written article and IF we the people do not support Trump's efforts at complete media success even after he loses the election then we the people are the real losers. We have only ourselves to blame as we have the control. I say to all those who can read or listen when the Trump channel is on our cable TV of choice turn the channel to another and do not let Trump win his last race.
The Kardashians are allegedly some of the most famous reality TV stars their lives of glitz and glamour filled with conflict and empty words so I am told. I would not know any of the Kardashians (except, perhaps, Caitlan through mainstream news) if I tripped over them because I refuse to watch inanity. I gain nothing from someone's shallow conspicuous consumptive life that bears absolutely no resemblance to my own.

It Can Happen Here
The HATEFUL Trump EXTREMIST Republican Party MUST MUST be stopped. Those who compose Trump's campaign are another part of that Party that most do not even know exists. They are filled with KKK and American Nazis type nationalists who are right wing extremist racists. They see power in Trump they never thought existed. They are poised with guns loaded to make sure he gets into the White House.
They are threats to ALL of us. If you have Muslim friends, relatives, daughters or sons, if you have Jewish friends, relatives, daughters and sons, if you have disabled friends, relatives, daughters or sons, if you have homosexual relatives, friends, daughters or sons, if you have persons of color and Hispanic people who are friends, relatives daughters and sons whom you love this Trump Republican movement is NOT I repeat NOT your friend. We MUST electorally TAKE THEM DOWN and if you do not vote you are voting against all those with whom you interact every day and those you love.
DO NOT SIT HOME ON ELECTION DAY. VOTE and get everyone you know in this nation who is a good person, a humane person, who cares if human beings are rounded up like cattle with machine guns at their back having their lives and their children's lives torn asunder to vote. Trump is about the fringe Party of white racists and all his attempts to cover that up with seeming kinder rhetoric are a sham. He does not care what he said before he does what is in his heart and his heart, made of stone, is a narcissistic sociopath who now sees the road to power in the right wing hateful extremist fringe of the Republican Party whom he knows support him.
This happened before in history and while I never ever thought it would I now think it COULD happen here and make no mistake about it IF you do not vote for those who oppose hate you are voting Trump -- God forbid -- into the White House.

My Thoughts on the Clinton NO scandals scandals
My opinion: There is a noxious, mendacious, cruel and idiotic right wing extremist attempt to get Secretary for 30 years even if ALL they tried to get her on fails. Yes, the email Republicrat obsession has been annoying and yet I believe that no scandal scandal is a tempest in a tea pot. Of course, she would do it differently if she could but she can't and withstood hours upon hours of a politically biased onslaught. She passed with class and aplomb like the classy person she is.
Today (1) Colin Powell again yet again admitted he told her to use a private server as did Madeline Albright. The US was NOT COMPROMISED by anything Secretary Clinton did. Her intent was NOT to hurt. "Intent" is the operative word. The millions of wasted taxpayer bucks Republicons say they care so much about are spent on endless futile investigations that lead nowhere to see if, perhaps, one sentence can get her. It CAN'T and it won't because she is guilty of nothing but perhaps bad judgment having the personal server.
(2) Benghazi was NOT HER FAULT. Ambassador Stevens knew the risk going to that den of horrors Libya but thought he could perfect change and loved the people. That is sad but it is risk and worse for Republicons, Democrats and Secretary Clinton asked for better security but in their own inimitable rancid philosophical bent austerity is the Republicon rule of the day. They said NO! Kevin McCarthy Republican House majority leader admitted it was a political witch hunt to get Clinton. Republicans have spent more than $6,000,000 yes, that six MILLION taxpayer bucks and got bubkas (Yiddish for NOTHING!)
(3) As to the Clinton Foundation that was dealt with today. The Clintons when Hillary becomes president will close down the Clinton Foundation and set it up with Clintons not in charge and with a different foundation name because DEAL WITH IT you Republican hypocrites unlike the Republicon Party the Clinton Foundation did and does an amazing amount of good!
Republicans who have logs in their own eyes as big as California Redwoods keep trying to besiege the Democratic nominee. Why don't Republicons keep looking for the Trump/Russia connection, Trump and Trump campaign new "CEO" Bannon alleged tax evasion, Trump University alleged fraud, Trump Institute alleged fraud and plagiarism. And by the way, read David Cay Johnston's "The Making of Trump" to see how this unethical Cretan's mind works and the sludge with whom he over a lifetime has associated. Those TRULY are scandals that have legs.
Can you say thank you Madam President? I surely can and cannot wait until she CRUSHES the DISLOYAL racist opposition into oblivion while Democrats re-take the Senate and the House that they never should have lost in the first place!
GET OUT THE VOTE FOR HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON WHO, IF YOU DO, WILL IN FACT BE THE FIRST WOMAN AND NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. IT WILL SAVE THE SUPREME COURT'S LIFE FOR DECADES AND THE LIFE YOU SAVE MAY VERY WELL BE YOUR OWN!

Hillary's Message -- Trump's Campaign & Breitbart -- Read and HEED!!
Forward to anyone you choose.
Whenever you hear about a right-wing conspiracy theory somehow making its way into the mainstream of political dialogue, there's a good chance that Breitbart News had something to do with it.
Never heard of Breitbart News? It's a fringe website where there's no opinion too ugly, too divisive, or too outright crazy to be worth breathless promotion.
The one about President Obama being a secret Muslim born in Kenya? Breitbart was all over that "story."
Or maybe you heard about the time they attacked an opponent -- a conservative Republican, no less -- by calling him a "renegade Jew."
Why does this matter?
Donald Trump just hired Breitbart's executive director to be his new campaign CEO.
Now, we've had a conservative media in this country for a while. I don't always like what they have to say, but I respect their role and their right to exist.
Breitbart is something different. They make Fox News look like a Democratic Party pamphlet. They're a different breed altogether -- not just conservative but radical, bigoted, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic conspiracy peddlers who never have been and never should be anywhere near the levers of power in this country.
But Donald Trump just gave them a broad new mandate to shape his campaign, his message, the future of the Republican Party, and quite possibly the country.
It goes without saying that we have to beat these people. But I want to beat them so decisively that their kind never rises again.
Doing that is going to take hard work, moral clarity, unshakeable determination.
Trump's New Chilling Team
If you did not have a chance watch yesterday's Rachel Maddow here or below do so. You would NOT believe what is going on with this ridiculous shift in Trump's team. He demoted rather mainstream Manfort and brought in the "CEO" manager of Breitbart.com the sensationalist extremist right wing a guy named Bannon and a Republican pollster Kellyann Conway.
Rachel explains this move much better than I have time to do but Trump's campaign is now headed, in essence, by an extremist right wing baloney spin machine promoting ALL kinds of conspiracy theories that comprise it and a plethora of made up crap against most especially Cinton and Obama (the birthers and other lies) or any liberal Democrat who wants to hold office. Breitbart uses conspiratorialist views of radio shock jock Alex Jones as well and Trump listens to them. This explains a LOT!
They go after Hillary now with made up concoctions about her health or whether she sits on a pillow (no, I'm not kidding), they post fake MRI's of her brain and fake film of her by speeding it up to make her look like she has some kind of neurological disease. The film of her they sometimes use is like an early 20th century fast walking film as "proof" that she has a neurological disease and even mouth cancer. No, again, I'm not kidding. It's ALL total extremist baloney. Worse still is that Trump re-tweets junk from white supremacist advocates and white nationalists. These horrible humans USED to be the right wing fringe and NOT certainly mainstream Republicans they are now.
Breitbart/Drudge are AWFUL sites made up of phony UNtruths. It is consummately RIDICULOUS and even more ridiculous that the Republican candidate for the presidency uses these sites of lies and is now using it's manager, Bannon. The late Breitbart, who died young, was a right wing extremist and Bannon, the now "CEO" Manager of the Trump campaign took over Breitbart. It posts the phony sensationalist site of Drudge.com as well.
Trump goes to Alex Jones conspiracy theorist seen by Jones's right wing extremist niche market for his view points. This shows one how unqualified Trump is and that his campaign now is run by solely Trump as Trump and his right wing extremist lackeys that take only his orders. It is totally OUTRAGEOUS as it is volcanic.
They verbally indict Obama and Hillary for invading Afghanistan (it was invaded by Bush in 2001) and his moronic supporters like former Mayor Giuliani accuse Obama as the only president who has had terrorist attacks on his watch. Excuse me former Mr. Mayor I seem to remember 9/11 on Bush's and Giuliani's watch. Moreover, some of Breitbart's posts are not above pointed antiSemitic slurs against mainstream Republican figures like Billy Kristol and others.
This is the kind of crap with which Hillary is having to deal. Robbie Mook, Hillary's campaign manger, was interviewed by Rachel too. It is illuminating as she gives you a pointed understanding of who now surrounds and advises the deranged Trump. Chilling!

Obama/Clinton created ISIS. Really? Really?
Excuse the lack of well constructed prose but the accusation by Trump playing in the media 24/7 that Obama/Clinton created ISIS and rarely rebutted must be addressed. I will do the honors.
Who the hell could believe that stupidity? If Trumpet a/k/a Drumpf a/k/a Small Hands Donald KNEW anything anything at all about ISIS and its etiology -- which he doesn't -- he would know it was an outgrowth of Al Qaeda in Iraq. Al Qaeda was NEVER EVER in Iraq as Hussein hated it but it emerged because Georgy Porgy Know Not a Thing Bush ordered the mayhem that was the Iraq War based on WMD LIES and proceeded to blow Iraq up while fracturing the entire Middle East. ISIS, more extreme than Al Qaeda, proceeded to take territory taking advantage of the Syrian civil war as well.
President Obama has killed THOUSANDS of ISIS and taken back territory that ISIS took after the US left including at least 25% of Fallujah where hundreds of US soldiers gave their lives for that god forsaken place. Obama was elected to get us out of Iraq and the Iraqi government wanted us out -- a Status of Forces Agreement which Bush signed agreed that the US would leave. Can one imagine what a field day Caliphate clash of cultures ISIS and Al Qaeda then too would have had the US stayed? It would prove their point that the west is waging a war against Islam. ISIS would have killed HUNDREDS if not thousands more Americans.
President Obama was damned if the US left Iraq and damned if it did not. Why? Because another Trumpian like idiot Bush decided to launch a war based on lies in the first place. Can you imagine what Republicrats would do to Democrats if Iraq was begun based on lies on their watch and if a Democratic president did not heed the warnings based on the PDB Bush received before 9/11 that Al Qaeda was poised to strike in the US but then that president went on vacation to clear brush? Can you spell impeachment, w a r c r i m e indictment, imprisonment or worse?
This is what happens when the American electorate in their wisdom does not care about intelligent leadership. Trump has not a clue, as the vice president said, as to what he is talking about. He is a know nothing just like Bush. The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

Secret Ledger in Ukraine Lists Cash for Donald Trump’s Campaign Chief--[The Keys to the Kingdom]
See link below my comment for the story.
Yes, without a doubt Manafort needs to make his dealings with Russia transparent. BUT we know he never will do that and Trump never will either. Trump will not even release his tax returns. Trump's campaign is beyond corrupt. The word I like to use describing Trump is AMORAL. He has no morality except that which will increase his power and wealth no matter what he has to do or with whom he must associate to do it. The 30 year study of Trump and an expert on him, David Cay Johnston, wrote a staggering book, "The Making of Trump." It gives one an eye popping insight into Trump's character or lack of it. If the book speaks truth Trump will surround himself with any one he needs to do the job he wants from mobsters to Roy Cohn to play the system no matter if it's legal or not.
This story below on the Russian connection while explosive my guess will go the route of all the nefarious stories on Trump, a man vying for the most powerful job on the planet. It will get buried and not investigated, illuminated and made transparent because the press is about headlines while it forgets perseverance and substance. One thing I know is true Trump is always about Trump and could not care less about we the people.
His hands, if elected, as stated so often will be on the nuclear codes and our lives will be in his small hands. God save us from the truth Mitt Romney spoke. Trump is a con man trying to perfect the con of his life IF we give him the keys to the kingdom to do it.
HILLARY CLINTON MUST BE ELECTED THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES TO AVOID THIS TRUMPIAN CATASTROPHE!

Let's Try
I lost sleep last night worrying about the potential assassination of Democratic Presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, because of Trump's malevolent words of madness urging his Second Amendment supporters to take matters into their own hands if they do not get elected whom they want. Even if one does not love Hillary Clinton one should worry about what the Cretan of cacophonic discourse said. Nothing short of the demise of our Republic is at stake.
Trump cannot defend what he said. What he said matters not because anything he says is brilliant but because his supporters often are not and take his words seriously. Not only are those who support him not brilliant they are prone to violence as well. Two brutes in Boston beat up a homeless man at the beginning of Trump's campaign. They thought Trump was advocating they do so. Trump could not care less about the immorality of what he says because the only virtuous empathetic morality Trump has is to himself.
Avoiding Second Amendment remedies in the form of violence to change a political process was SUPPOSED to make us different in the future from the Europe our Founders knew in their past. Maybe we are not so different after all. Maybe violence is in our DNA and cannot be changed. I hope that is not the case. I rather love this nation warts and all. Everyone else whose ancestors braved a dangerous journey to get to Lady Liberty's shores should as well.
Benjamin Franklin, as he emerged from the Constitutional convention in 1787, was asked : "Doctor, what do you have, a Republic or a Monarchy? Franklin replied "A Republic IF you can keep it." Let's try.

Amending the Constition is Hard
Hillary Clinton could NOT amend the Constitution but those who support Trumpet are either ignorant of basic civics or stupid or both!
http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/constitution/
The authority to amend the Constitution of the United States is derived from Article V of the Constitution. After Congress proposes an amendment, the Archivist of the United States, who heads the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), is charged with responsibility for administering the ratification process under the provisions of 1 U.S.C. 106b. The Archivist has delegated many of the ministerial duties associated with this function to the Director of the Federal Register. Neither Article V of the Constitution nor section 106b describe the ratification process in detail. The Archivist and the Director of the Federal Register follow procedures and customs established by the Secretary of State, who performed these duties until 1950, and the Administrator of General Services, who served in this capacity until NARA assumed responsibility as an independent agency in 1985.
The Constitution provides that an amendment may be proposed either by the Congress with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures. None of the 27 amendments to the Constitution have been proposed by constitutional convention. The Congress proposes an amendment in the form of a joint resolution. Since the President does not have a constitutional role in the amendment process, the joint resolution does not go to the White House for signature or approval. The original document is forwarded directly to NARA's Office of the Federal Register (OFR) for processing and publication. The OFR adds legislative history notes to the joint resolution and publishes it in slip law format. The OFR also assembles an information package for the States which includes formal "red-line" copies of the joint resolution, copies of the joint resolution in slip law format, and the statutory procedure for ratification under 1 U.S.C. 106b.
The Archivist submits the proposed amendment to the States for their consideration by sending a letter of notification to each Governor along with the informational material prepared by the OFR. The Governors then formally submit the amendment to their State legislatures or the state calls for a convention, depending on what Congress has specified. In the past, some State legislatures have not waited to receive official notice before taking action on a proposed amendment. When a State ratifies a proposed amendment, it sends the Archivist an original or certified copy of the State action, which is immediately conveyed to the Director of the Federal Register. The OFR examines ratification documents for facial legal sufficiency and an authenticating signature. If the documents are found to be in good order, the Director acknowledges receipt and maintains custody of them. The OFR retains these documents until an amendment is adopted or fails, and then transfers the records to the National Archives for preservation.
A proposed amendment becomes part of the Constitution as soon as it is ratified by three-fourths of the States (38 of 50 States). When the OFR verifies that it has received the required number of authenticated ratification documents, it drafts a formal proclamation for the Archivist to certify that the amendment is valid and has become part of the Constitution. This certification is published in the Federal Register and U.S. Statutes at Large and serves as official notice to the Congress and to the Nation that the amendment process has been completed.
In a few instances, States have sent official documents to NARA to record the rejection of an amendment or the rescission of a prior ratification. The Archivist does not make any substantive determinations as to the validity of State ratification actions, but it has been established that the Archivist's certification of the facial legal sufficiency of ratification documents is final and conclusive.
In recent history, the signing of the certification has become a ceremonial function attended by various dignitaries, which may include the President. President Johnson signed the certifications for the 24th and 25th Amendments as a witness, and President Nixon similarly witnessed the certification of the 26th Amendment along with three young scholars. On May 18, 1992, the Archivist performed the duties of the certifying official for the first time to recognize the ratification of the 27th Amendment, and the Director of the Federal Register signed the certification as a witness.
The Clinton Imperative -- Wonderful editorial -- [The Messenger of Madness]
Trump's Second Amendment Remedy that is the assassination of Presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton and/or the judges she appoints, chilled me to the bone so much so I could not fall asleep. This beast Trump is the worst candidate Republican, Democrat or anyone else that we have had the misfortune to witness on the American electoral scene. It should give pause to all who consider themselves civilized to reject Trump, this messenger of malice and madness.
The Clinton Imperative By Charles Fried -- The Boston Globe
Increasing numbers of registered Republicans, and former and present Republican officials like myself, will not support Donald Trump for president. That’s the easy part.
He has shown us that he is a mean and vindictive bully, striking out in the crudest ways (e.g., his sexist ripostes against Carly Fiorina and Megan Kelly) against anyone who attacks him, and then extending his vile remarks even to their relatives (Heidi and Rafael Cruz, Ghazala Khan). Indeed it is hard to think of any person in recent public life who has displayed a more repellent personality. Richard Nixon might come to mind, but that only because of what showed up in the secret recordings of what he thought were private conversations in the Oval Office. In public, Nixon had the self-control and self-awareness to keep his worst qualities reasonably well hidden. Rochefoucauld said that hypocrisy is the homage that vice pays to virtue, and in this respect at least, Trump is no hypocrite. Add to that the unabashed racism, the divisive and hate-filled quality of some of his proposed domestic policies, his disregard for the reputation, even the credit of the United States in his proposals for dealing with our treaty obligations and debts to other nations and foreign creditors, and his professed admiration for the sly and murderous Vladimir Putin — all these are reason enough for anyone, of whatever party, to refuse to support such a person.
As I say, to keep one’s distance from this malignant buffoon is the easy part. Now for the hard part.
Recent statements — and they did not just casually slip out — make clear why any person of conscience must actively work to assure that Donald Trump is not our next president. For just the other day he has added a thinly veiled threat of, indeed invitation to, violence and civic disruption if he loses in November. He has said that if he loses this would be the result of a “rigged” election, riddled with fraud, people voting “ten times” over — fraud which in court proceeding after proceeding has been found to be a pure bogeyman, a fiction used to justify transparent racially, ethnically, and politically motivated maneuvers to deny the ballot to whole classes of persons. Even in 1960, when the election may well have been stolen by shenanigans in Texas and Chicago, the loser did not cross the line to invite lawlessness. And this is not the first time Trump has made this threat. He had said much the same would be the result if he were denied the Republican nomination in a “rigged” convention.
Think of it. This is the man who would have in his charge the FBI, the Internal Revenue Service, the CIA. He would be commander in chief of the armed forces. And imagine if shortly after his inauguration there were, as there well might be, a serious terrorist outrage on our homeland. How would he react? Would that not be Trump’s Reichstag fire, justifying sweeping arrests, violations of civil liberties, suppression of the media? Are Trump’s reflexes more restrained, more respectful of democracy than those of Recep Tayyip Erdogan? I would not count on it.
Respect for our country, its Constitution, its history and traditions, just a sense of common decency, require that we not allow this man to be elected president of the United States. To invoke party loyalty, to dwell on one’s reservations about Hillary Clinton, to contemplate not voting at all, or the silly and self-defeating gesture of voting for the Libertarian or Green Party candidate, would be a frivolous failure of the most urgent present duty of patriotism. I support and shall vote for Hillary Clinton. Any other course risks complicity in a national catastrophe.

GOP Senator Collins: "Why I cannot support Trump" -- The Republican Baby
Senator Collins's article linked here or below.
Good for Senator Collins. She is, I know, a decent empathetic Republican -- a rarity among that species. What I cannot understand about her is her perception that Trump is not of the Republican Party she knows. Senator Collins, with all due respect, Trump IS a reflection of the Republican Party that has morphed over time. I place the date of its Frankenstein-like morph to 1964, when it ran the right wing "extremism in the face of liberty is no vice" Barry Goldwater. Curiously, he looks moderate in comparison to the present day Republican Party.
The Republican Party, to be sure, is far from the Party of Lincoln. It bears no resemblance to our 19th century and 16th president. In fact, it is its opposite. No, the Republican Party is unhappily the Party which has immersed the nation into torturous economic circumstances first with the Great Depression courtesy of Harding, Coolidge and Hoover wondering what government could possibly do to ameliorate a nation of breadlines and then the Republican Party that led the nation more recently into the Great Recession of 2008 courtesy of fantasy trickle down economics beginning with Ronald Reagan and ending with George W. Bush. Trickle down sounded oh so good but failed to trickle. It never created jobs but rather deregulated Wall Street sending jobs overseas while ending the amelioration of the Great Depression Glass Steagall Act.
It then went Wall Street wild with its fraudulent subprime loans, worthless mortgage backed securities bundled in Standard and Poors ratings lies and sold to innocent millions who did not know what those in the know knew. Accompanying it were credit default swaps insurance for those who knew the stocks they were selling were junk, bank failures, home repossessions, unemployment and homelessness. It created the economic weakness and psychological malaise of insecurity we still feel in present time but Republicans are still Wall Street's opiate drug pusher promising trickle down will do right this time. Fool me once ...
In truth when economic implosions happen it takes Democrats to pull the nation out. Franklin Roosevelt did in the Great Depression New Deal and Barack Obama over a period of 8 years during the 2008 Great Recession and near economic collapse despite Republican extreme opposition. Time and again Republicans in good standing like Susan Collins refer to a Republican Party with mournful nostalgia. I aver it was never that Party in contemporary time. Rather the Republican Party has been a Party against the poor, for the wealthy, against the civil rights of minorities, for voter suppression and mired the nation in perpetual war begun by a Republican that continues in our time. From the springboard of the Republican Party a George Bush it created made a Middle East mess, killed thousands, and sent millions into exile all based on a lie. A Republican Bush lit the spark that exploded the Middle East bestowing the gift of Al Qaeda in Iraq and its ugly spawn enemy ISIS costing unpaid-for trillions. All of the above were Republican created with some Democratic complicity but in truth most of it is the Republican baby.
Susan Collins, you and a few other Republicans may mean well but your Party is populated by laissez fare cruelty and a sink-or-swim you're on your own economic mentality. If it were up to Republicans the poor could starve and those who had no medical insurance would be left to die. Let's hope Hillary Clinton can work her magic and truly craft a Middle East calm and a more equitable economic security. If anyone will I think it is she.

Nitwit Nominee -- Duck and Cover
Page Lavender of Huffington Post Reports: "Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump claimed Japan, an ally of the United States, can “sit home and watch Sony television” if the U.S. is ever attacked.
“You know we have a treaty with Japan, where if Japan is attacked, we have to use the full force and might of the United States,” Trump said during an appearance in Iowa on Friday. “If we’re attacked, Japan doesn’t have to do anything. They can sit home and watch Sony television, OK?”
Trump told The New York Times in July that he would judge NATO members’ spending on security before helping them face down a potential invasion. The businessman had previously stated he wants Japan, Germany, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and NATO countries to “pay up.”
“They owe us tremendously, we’re taking care of all those people and what I want them to do is pay up,” he said in June.
Earlier this week, a group of foreign policy experts ― including several Republicans ― denounced what they called the “disgraceful” Trump comments on NATO, along with his call for Russia to find Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s missing emails from her time as U.S. secretary of state. Trump has had one of the worst weeks in modern American politics."
My 2 cents:
Has the Republicon Party's nitwit nominee who has the attention span of an intoxicated gnat ever picked up a book and read a history of World War II? The question more appropriately is has the Republicon presidential nitwit nominee, Donald J. Trump, ever picked up any book and read its entirety? Perhaps, he has, as he has said, read the Bible but refused to quote even one passage from it not even the 23rd Psalm or Christ's Sermon on the Mount because he says it's "too personal." Does he think we are all nitwits?
My guess is the nitwit Republican nominee has NOT read the Bible. Nor has he probably read his second favorite book, his own "The Art of the Deal," which we now know was ghost written by Tony Schwartz most probably because Trump has no writing skills and this man of the restlessness of a five year old with Attention Deficit Disorder could not sit still long enough to write anything. No writing skills, reads nothing, and has the attention span of a drunk gnat are the qualifications this brainless blob wants to take into the White House.
I might suggest he read something on the war in the Pacific during WWII. It means something when a nation wins a massive war. If he read anything about it he would know (1) The US won it (2) the US (the only nation to explode a nuclear bomb) nuked Japan's cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and (3) a requirement for the surrender of Japan was that they possess no standing army except an elementary one (to the US liking) for self defense and that the US occupied Japan giving up Okinowa in 1974 but still retains a large base there.
Does one think the nitwit nominee might guess that our friendly now ally in Asia had a penchant for territorial acquisition back in the day? Does one think he might have learned that the bombing of Pearl Harbor was the Japanese attempt to dismantle the US Pacific fleet so the US could not stop Japan's lust for the invasion of China and other Asian nations within its sphere? Does one think that IF, in fact, Japan acquired nuclear weapons, as Trump thought might be dandy, that Japan just might want pay back against the only nation to have nuked their country?
If this nitwit nominee becomes (God forbid) president duck and cover!
THIS SHOULD CONVINCE YOU TO WORK FOR IF YOU CAN AND VOTE FOR HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON AS THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EXPERIENCED CANDIDATE FOR THE PRESIDENCY!
What a Wonderful World -- Gorgeous
This is a Youtube from a 1989 show that someone sent to me. It is that for which I and those who ally themselves mostly within the diverse Democratic Party are fighting. It is a gorgeous rendition of "What a Wonderful World" featuring some of the nation's most brilliantly talented women.
As I replayed the video embedded within is a small pop up ad (perhaps more than one) to my dismay appears. Simply "X" it out as ironically one may be of the Republicon presidential candidate whose name is so noxious and repellent to me I will not and do not have to mention it here.
Apologies if it appears but know it must be embedded within the link and is OBVIOUSLY not my doing!
Enjoy the Youtube. Then in November vote and if you can work for the ONLY nominee for president who possess superior intellect and a plethora of experience, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Dementia?
A doctor I know has been saying he thought Trump's verbiage and behavior were signs of dementia. Who can know that but the Washington Post had an interesting article stoking one's thought about it.

Donald Trump and the fitness threshold
I am not usually a Charles Krauthammer fan but this article linked below by him on Trump hits a bulls-eye.
Is
Trump in a stage of dementia OR has he always enjoyed the psychological
malady of personality disorder with the attention span of a gnat? It
could be both or just the latter. Who knows what is the psychological illness of Trump? He has shown his deep narcissistic solipsistic
traits over a lifetime. Whatever his psychological illness is should not matter to us.
What SHOULD matter to us is that he never get near the oval office!WORK AND GET THE VOTE OUT FOR HILLARY!

The Mountaintop of Love
Oh the the humanity and the irony that Mr. Khan and his lovely wife both Muslims bestowed upon this nation. They may have done more for our country and the world than even the election of a president could do and maybe they have done more to defeat the ugliness of Trump than any of the logical arguments that could be made against him.
Their pain so emphatically expressed by Mr. Khan and in the soft words spoken by his wife concerning the patriotic death of their beautiful son for our country in Iraq has brought more humanity, unification and love to this nation than anyone has expressed in a very long time.
They are a gift and what has transpired around them are the times I think, perhaps, there is something of a higher purpose. What wonderful people and what a wonderful message they have conveyed with my hope that they have helped ensure Trump be relegated to the ash bin of history and our nation elevated to the mountaintop of love.

Putin is giving aid and comfort to Trump. Today we found out why.
The big news today is that Trump explicitly urged Russia to hack Hillary Clinton’s e-mail — i.e., to commit an act of espionage and cyberwar against the former Secretary of State and the current nominee for one of America’s major political parties. It goes without saying that this is shocking, unprecedented, and beyond the pale.
But it’s not inexplicable. Trump’s coziness with Russia in general and Putin in particular has become a feature of this campaign. We know that his campaign manager, Manafort, has disturbingly close ties to Russian interests. We know that Trump never fails to praise Putin, an autocrat, at every given turn. And we know that Russia reciprocates the love. There is a growing consensus in the intelligence community that Russia was behind the DNC hack, which shows that Russia and Putin believe that a Trump victory is in their best interests.
All of the above has been discussed at length in the media in recent days. One question that has gotten less attention is why. Why does Putin want Trump to win so badly? What is it about Trump that is so appealing to the Kremlin?
Trump answered that today. This aspect of his disastrous press conference has gotten less attention than his call for a foreign power to spy on his political adversaries, but it explains why he has Putin’s support:
Donald Trump said Wednesday that, if he is elected president, he would consider recognizing Crimea as Russian territory and lifting the sanctions against Russia.
At a wide-ranging news conference, Trump said he “would be looking into that” when asked about his stance on Crimea and Russia. The Crimean Peninsula has been part of Ukraine for decades, but Russian President Vladimir Putin annexed the territory in March 2014 after a popular revolt toppled Kiev's pro-Russian government.
This is jaw dropping. The annexation of
Crimea violated international law and sparked a prolonged and bloody
conflict in the Ukraine. It was an unacceptable act of aggression that
has no place in a post-WWII world. But here Trump is, ready to “look
into” giving it his official stamp of approval.
We knew Putin wanted Trump to win. Now we know why. Trump will not only turn a blind eye towards Russian aggression in Eastern Europe. He will excuse, allow, and enable it.
The stakes of this election are unfathomable. Trump must be stopped at all costs.
Update: Timaeus makes
a great point. Trump has been bleating for months that he’s interested
in reducing American support to NATO. What he said today is simply a
more explicit version of what he’s been saying along. Trump is just
fine letting our European allies fend for themselves.
Expensive Shoes--Russia's hacking of Democratic emails and Donald Trump
Trump thinks he is oh so smart but I think he really is
rather stupid no matter how much money he has made stiffing those
gullible enough to fall for his Trump University and Trump Institute
schemes. Stiffing the middle class from money they rightfully earned
building Trump edifices is not only stupid but unethical. This
unethical Cretan decides to run for the presidency and thinks his life
will not be opened like a Pandora's Box. Despite a less than
inquisitive press and a press which loves making money when Trump
dribbles some drool from his uncensored mouth, things do manage to be
revealed. Either Trump has an incurable mental illness having its
origins in a black hole of self aggrandizement, perhaps even a massive
inferiority complex disguised as superiority or that dementia may be
setting in sooner than one might think.
Trump is in trouble. Why do I say this? Answer: Taxes. Trump refuses to reveal his taxes thinking that saying they are being audited is an excuse most will not challenge. In fact, however, auditing matters not. He still could revel his taxes to an American public from whom he wants the most consequential job on the planet. Why will he not reveal his taxes when all modern candidates for the presidency have done so?
Trump is really, in the final analysis, a dope for overtly and verbally challenging Russia's Putin to hack into Democratic email. He has advised a foreign power -- an enemy -- to influence the results of an American election. He cannot walk these egregious statements back although he has tried. If this not be treason it is damn close. He has given the Democrats now a gift that will keep on giving much like Nixon's Watergate did. One can only imagine if it were Hillary Clinton who said what Trump did to Putin against Republicans she would be skewered as she has been for infinitely less.
The issue of Trump's tax returns, of course, has to do with his fear of what the electorate may find out. We could find out he paid NO income taxes; we could find out he lied on his submissions BUT more importantly we could find out how much money he is borrowing in loans from Russia if any. Follow the money the old Watergate adage tell us. See links below.
If Russia loans Trump money because no one will loan him it here as he has a habit of not paying it back or declaring bankruptcy what will that mean? Maybe Russia even forgives a debt then what would Putin possibly want from a Trump presidency for that act of kindness? Try on the Baltic states and Eastern Europe for size. Putin wants to get back for his nation the empire it lost after the cold war. The Russian people would place him on a historical pedestal for life. He knows he could possibly get that from a Trump presidency because Trump says NATO can be abandoned if those nations do not pay their "fair share" and we also know Putin would be happy to fill the vacuum of power the abandonment of NATO would mean. Eastern Europe should tremble at a Trump presidency. Trump has committed a near treasonous if not wholly treasonous act suggesting Putin, a foreign enemy power, hack into Democratic emails and skew an American election toward Trump and he waxes effusive in his warm feelings for the autocrat as well.
Trump is SO stupid that he just gave the Democratic Party a gift. This issue will not die. His actions and his financial ties to Russia are now subject to investigation. Just what could Trump get from Putin? This begs investigation and the American electorate should demand nothing less than the submission of Trump's tax returns for public scrutiny. I would not want to be in Donald Trump's shoes as he steps into a black hole he has dug for himself no matter how expensive his shoes are.

The DNC Convention--Morning in America again
A few thoughts: The DNC Convention was one of the GREATEST political events I have ever witnessed in my entire watching-of-political-conventions life. IT WAS FLAWLESS AND WONDERFUL beyond measure! It was like watching the perfection of a Fred Astaire/Ginger Rodgers dance -- well choreographed, so moving, and so beautiful. It was humanitarian principled like a Steinbeck novel and I cried though a lot of it.
I love the Democratic Party and I love Hillary Clinton. I look forward to the debates of Clinton v. Trump. Did you ever see a professional football team play the Pop Warner League youth football? Of course, not. Neither, thankfully, have I. I suspect it would be like a fight between Mike Tyson and me. One could only imagine what the gruesome result would be. I would NOT want to be in Drumpf's shoes when he debates Hillary Clinton. It will be, for Democrats, I hope, a fun spectator sport where the intellectually uber qualified Goliath beats the pitifully mentally and academically unqualified Trump.
There were no bases left untouched. The speakers -- ALL of them -- were not only perfect but heart warming and moving. From Michelle Obama, Michael Bloomberg, the Reverend William Barber, all the victims of violence, the 9/11 people that Senator Hillary Clinton helped, the disabled, the Republicans for Hillary, the Military for Hillary, the police for Hillary to Tim Kaine, Vice President Biden, President Barack Obama and finally the star -- Hillary Rodham Clinton herself. I have missed naming many more stars as time does not permit. All were stunning in their excellence. If one watched it throughout the week and last evening or will be watching reruns this weekend you have seen or will be seeing the perfection of, hopefully, the first woman President of the United States.
Welcome to the White House, soon-to-be Madam President. Forty years of political presidential practice is a long time to wait. There is no one on earth who deserves the presidency more or is more qualified than she to win it.
For me, at this moment, it's morning in America again.
GET OUT THE VOTE AROUND THE NATION FOR HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON AND FOR DEMOCRATS DOWN TICKET TO GIVE HER THE ABILITY TO RECTIFY THE MANY PROBLEMS OUR NATION NEEDS SOLVED.
